Golden Gate Comic Con, Chapter 7: Pages 17-18
PAGE 17
PANEL 1: Cut to a slight close-up on Janice's face a beat later, reacting to the question with a smirk on her face; her eyes glancing over to an off-panel spot on the road as she speaks. You can see the front of the nearest car behind them just beginning to change lanes in the background.
JANICE [calming the excitement somewhat, to Adam]: It's waiting at home. Just be patient for a little while longer!
INT. ADAM'S BEDROOM- A Little Later
PANEL 2: We move to a shot of the front door leading to Adam's bedroom a short time later, opened up with the teenaged boy just poking his head in to get a good look at the mystery gift that's been teased over.
JANICE [Cont., caption]: "It's worth the wait, I promise..."
PANEL 3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few moments later, with the door now fully opened, we see him take his first look at the mystery gift laying off-panel on his bed. There's a look of ecstatic joy in his eyes upon what he's seeing; his right hand clenched in a fist, making a happy pumping motion up and down.
ADAM [thought bubble]: Yes. Yes, it was!
PANEL 4: Cut to a shot of the gift lying on the center of the bed- a pair of noise-cancelling headphones that are still in their box, and a stack of comic books lying next to it. The top one visible in the panel view is Dardevil #51.
ADAM [Off-Panel chuckles]: Wow...
PANEL 5: We move to an action shot of the young Mr. de Connick quickly making a beeline to the bed to get into and enjoy the new gifts on display. In the background, you can see the door only 3/4 of the way closed; a little sliver of the hallway visible via the doorway.
ADAM [thought bubble]: Thought I'd have to wait till Christmas for this...
PANEL 6: Cut to a shot of the young man seated on the edge of the bed a few moments after the end of the previous panel. He has the box rested on his lap at this point; his hands trying to fudge around with the top of the box in order to open it.
ADAM [caption]: That was a pretty good night. Could use those right about now...same with my parents.

INT. BATHROOM, GOOGLE ARENA- Present
PANEL 1: We move back to adult Adam in the same place that we left him, seated in the bathroom stall somewhere in Google Arena dressed in his Mikasa cosplay. He is considerably less stressed out compared to that aforementioned part of the story, but still frazzled overall; the action figure has changed positioning from left to right upper thigh.
ADAM [Cont., thought bubble]: I wonder if they're looking down from some unknown dimension at me right now. Maybe someone in the future's figured out how to reach out to this area so I can ask 'em advice about what to do next. I mean, you can pay thousands of bucks to change your DNA to make you look prettier. One would think someone's pulled off being able to speak to dead loved ones (without going zombie apocalypse). ADAM [thought bubble 2]: Anyway...I'm getting a little philosophically rambly, which must be a sign I'm getting better. Hopefully, I didn't embarrass myself too bad--
PANEL 2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. His head is turned over to the left of the panel view upon hearing the sound of knocking and the voice emanating from the same area of the panel; a little bolt of nervousness jumping suddenly into the pit of his stomach.
VOICE [Off-Panel left]: Hello? ADAM [thought bubble]: Oh boy...might have spoken too soon!
PANEL 3: Action shot that moves to a wider shot of the bathroom as a whole, showing Michele walking inside; her head looking around at each of the stalls and the urinals, one of which is visible in the lower left of the panel view. In her left hand she's holding a thin bag filled with what appears to be books of some kind.
MICHELE: You dropped your bag on the ground in the middle of the Swag Market. At least I think it was yours. I followed you here and I thought maybe you would...
PANEL 4: Slight close-up on Ms. McKinney's face a few beats later, reacting to the moment of silence that she got in response. She sighs dejectedly, seemingly accepting of the fact that the mystery person doesn't want to talk to her.
MICHELE: Okay. I can respect that- you barely know me. I'll just leave it in front of the stalls and get out of your hair. ADAM [Off-Panel right]: Wait!
PANEL 5-6: A two-part set of panels that starts out with an action panel, showing the back of Michele to the reader, moving past each stall toward the one that Adam's seated at. You can hear the sound of pen meeting paper out of view of the reader. In Panel 6, you can see a folded-up piece of paper slide out from underneath one of the stall doors; Michele's hand reaching out to grab it seemingly.
