Golden Gate Comic Con, Chapter 8: Pages 11-12
PAGE 11
PANEL 1-3: A three-part set of panels that moves on the same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. Each panel consists of him making some type of movement, first to the right of the panel view (Panels 1 and 2) and then to the left (Panel 3); he's on his tippy toes in Panel 3, and his eyes peering up to the ceiling in search of the autograph booths. FAN #1 [Off-Panel, Panel 3]: They really thought women couldn't play James Bond?
PANEL 4: We move to a shot of a pair of female fans dressed in smart looking Bond-like tuxedos; their hair done up in a short, yet stylish fashion. Fan #1 is black and has dark red hair, and Fan #2 (a bit older than Fan #1) is Puerto Rican/Black and has a more light blonde look. In the background, over Fan #2's shoulder, you can see Adam looking over at the two of them trying to eavesdrop on their conversation for tips.
FAN #1 [Cont. confused/amused, to Fan #2]: They know Bond's basically a title that passes from person to person, right? Like "The Doctor" or "Captain America" or "Batman." FAN #2 [shrugs, to Fan #2]: We know it now, but back then people were needlessly possessive about a particular image of a character to the detriment of any other deviation from it. FAN #1 [Bubble 2]: By "people," you mean stupid white men, yeah? FAN #2 [Bubble 2]: Haha, of course! Through many questionable and idiotic moments through the course of human history, you'll find a bunch of stupid ass white men somewhere in the background (or foreground) of them. Eventually though saner and happier voices prevailed, and now we have Haley Atwell in a cocktail dress beating the living hell out of anarchic hackers...
PANEL 5: Cut to a close-up of Mr. de Connick's face a second later, listening to the rest of the conversation in real time; a look of profound realization on the young man's face as the proverbial light bulb goes off above him.
FAN #2 [Cont., Off-Panel]: So to those fogey ass bastards, and the trolls who still bash it, I say- molesto fantasma! ADAM [thought bubble]: ...Perfect!
INT. AUTOGRAPH BOOTHS- Minutes Later
PANEL 6: We move to an action shot of Adam a short time later, moving from the lower part of the panel view upward. You can see the long stretches of three lines moving up in the same direction toward different stars that they seek autographs for at that point; the lights of the ceiling illuminating them from above.
PAGE 12
PANEL 1: Cut to a shot ground level a few beats later of a big banner hanging on the wall behind the row of booths. It shows Ms. Atwell's name printed in big white letters, with her still pretty early 50s face underneath the edge of the name. You can see the pictures of some of her previous popular roles underneath her name and throughout the big purple colored banner.
ADAM [Off-Panel caption]: Huh. Maybe it's time to give Bond movies a second chance...
PANEL 2: Cut to a shot of him a few minutes later standing in line, moving toward the front of the line. He looks over at some of the other people in the other lines, lost in his own thought at that point in time.
ADAM [Cont., thought bubble]: Hopefully they let go of the whole "serializing" experiment they tried with Skyfall and Spectre.
PANEL 3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few moments later, as he moves a step forward to the front, you can see the person behind the young man looking over Adam's green wig with a great deal of fascination.
COSPLAYER [curious, to Adam]: Whoa! How do you get your hair to look like that? ADAM: Huh...
PANEL 4: We move to a side shot of the Cosplayer and Adam talking with each other during a lull in the action. You can see a section of the other line next to theirs in the background with their varied costumes (both simple and elaborate) on. You can also see a couple of CamDrones hovering up in the roof of the building moving into panel view.
COSPLAYER [pointing to the hair]: Your hair. I never knew the 7.0 could alter a person's hair. Is it a separate attachment for the head you built for it, or...? ADAM [shakes his head, to the Cosplayer]: This isn't digitally made...
PANEL 5: Slight close-up on Mr. de Connick's face a second later; his right hand in view above his head, lifting the wig up off of his head to reveal the skull cap he's wearing at that moment. You can see an outline of his hair poking through the transparent view of the silk hat.
ADAM [Cont., earnest]: It's a wig!
PANEL 6: We move to a similarly framed close-up of the cosplayer's face, taking in the development a split second later. He has a degree of admiration looking over at the development, but it's tinged with surprise that makes what he says come off as condescending. You can see the top of the head of another cosplayer, dressed as Michael Baymax, in the background.
COSPLAYER: Huh, a low-T patch. How totally adorbs!
