Golden Gate Comic Con, Chapter 8: Pages 23-24
PAGE 23
PANEL 1: Cut to a shot of Jenny a few moments later in a more straight forward looking layout. She shifts slightly to the left as she speaks, trying to coax the young man to stay at the table.
JENNY [Cont., to Adam]: All we were gonna do was finish off these nachos, shop for some collectibles, and head back to Michele's room for our yearly End of Con get together. If you wanna tag along, I won't complain--neither will Shell.
PANEL 2: We move to a shot of Mr. de Connick with a slightly confused look on his face in regards to part of what Jenny said, though there's another part of him that also seemingly understands a little. In the background, as he speaks, you can hear the sound of a guitar beginning to play from the speakers.
ADAM [slight nod, to Jenny and Michele]: Sounds cool, but--in case the get together thing is code for sex, I thought you should know I'm actually heteroasexual and... MICHELE [Off-Panel, uproarious laughing]: HAHAHAHA! Oh buddo...!
PANEL 3: Back to Jenny in the same setting/layout as the first panel. She laughs just as Ms. McKinney does, but not with the same intensity; her left hand reaching over to grab her drink as she speaks. As was the case in the previous panel, a little more of a song starts to play off-panel from the bar's music system.
JENNY [trying to make it as soft as possible on Adam]: Good on ya, but..it's not a sex thing.
PANEL 4: We move to a similarly framed shot of Michele a second later, tilting her head over in Adam's direction to finish the rest of the explanation started in the previous panel. At this point, the song that has been layered bit by bit from Panel 2 now has percussive rhythm along with the guitars from before.
MICHELE [on her point, to Adam]: Basically, we just get some booze and some snacks and watch "Avengers: Endgame." MICHELE [Bubble 2; responding to Panel 5, Bubble 1]: Seriously? The drinking thing I could care less on. But- was your family one of those 20th century Nostags? MICHELE [Bubble 3; responding to Panel 5, Bubble 2]: So, that's a yes then?
PANEL 5: Cut back to Adam in the same setting/layout as Panel 2. After a few moments of thought, you can see a bright glimpse of anticipatory excitement come across the young man's face upon hearing the rest of the explanation.
ADAM [slightly nervous]: I don't really drink. And I've...never actually seen "Avengers 4." ADAM [coy chuckle, Bubble 2; responding to Panel 4, Bubble 2]: You could say so, I guess. Nothing massive though... ADAM [Bubble 3; responding to Panel 4, Bubble 3]: Yeah, I'd--I'd be happy to join with you guys. Don't really have that many friends.

PANEL 1: Cut to Jenny after taking a sip of her drink; the setting and layout similar to what we saw in Panel 3. She looks over in Adam's direction while lowering the glass in mid-stride toward the front end of the table; part of her at the end of the sentence missing one particular piece of information.
JENNY [sure of herself, to Adam]: Then you're in one for heck of a time... JENNY [Bubble 2, reacting to Panel 2 Bubble 1]: Adam. Nice to meet you, Adam...
PANEL 2: We move to a shot of Adam in the same setting/layout as the end of the previous page; his right hand and arm touching the top of the table. A little smile starts to come over the young man's face, which is connected in part to the excitement in his voice that was in play in that aforementioned panel.
ADAM [finishing her thought, to Jenny]: Adam.
PANEL 3: A dialogue-less action shot showing the three of them at the table a few moments later in conversation, enjoying the music and taking on the rest of the nachos that are seen in the center of the panel view.
AMANDA [caption]: They sound like good people. ADAM [caption 2]: Yeah. Yeah, they are. We exchanged E-Mails after the movie. Michele was talking about you, me and Jenny meeting up to hang out on La Fiesta (once I get myself situated there). It's been awhile since I've befriended people who are close to my age. Even back in 2018.
PANEL 4: Cut to a similarly situated action shot of them walking through the collectibles area, chatting and looking at some of the toys and collectibles that are offered at one of the booths off-panel right. You can see an assortment of people behind them in the background, though not as many as earlier who are dressed in cosplay like they are.
AMANDA [caption]: That's great! I--I'm happy for you. ADAM [caption 2]: Thanks, sis. AMANDA [caption 3]: Did you tell them about your autism? ADAM [caption 4]: Not then. That's a worry for the future, among a hell of a lot of other things.
PANEL 5: We move to a shot of them moving down the last few steps of the hallway back in Alphabet Arms that leads to Michele's apartment. Adam has a bag half full of stuff that the reader doesn't see; so does Jenny. The young woman, meanwhile, is seen carrying the metal E.V.A. ball underneath her right arm.
ADAM [caption]: Right now, I'm just loving the fact that today was a really good day.
