Rock The Vouhhhnn!, Chapter 1: Part 2.3

Page 11 Panel 1: Same setting/layout as Panel 1 of the previous page. James flashes a bit of a confused glare at the response; the menu unfolding in the bottom of the panel.

JAMES

I thought South America was quarantined due to the stalemate in battle there.

Panel 2: Back to Madison in the same setting/layout as Panel 2. The smile has shifted to a non-descriptive baseline, shaking her head.

MADISON

(casually correcting)

That was just Brazil, Peru- mostly the northern countries there. A lot of the southern part's still pretty good.

Panel 3: Cut back to Mr. Brock a split second after; the menu, fully opened, covering up the top half of his torso.

JAMES

Ah...

Panel 4: Same setting as the previous panel a little under a minute later. The layout widens out slightly to show a waiter appearing at the table with a pad and pen at the ready.

WAITER

(to James and Madison)

Hello! Have you settled on an order yet?

Panel 5: Cut to a shot of Madison's end of the table. She glances over to the waiter's direction; her hand moving toward her coffee cup as she speaks.

MADISON

(to Waiter)

Yeah, I'll have scrambled eggs and hash browns.

Panel 6: Back to the waiter scribbling down what she's heard thus far, glancing up from her periphery for the rest of it.

WAITER

(to Madison)

Excellent. What kind of toast?

Page 12

Panel 1: We move back to Madison in the same setting/layout as Panel 1. With a firm grip of the coffee cup, she responds with a great deal of certainty.

MADISON

Cinnamon raisin, and barely toasted.

Panel 2: Close-up on the young woman's face a split second later. Her face shifts toward one of a silent threat tinged on that last point.

MADISON

(Cont.)

I'm serious about the barely toasted...I will check!

Panel 3: Back to the waiter glancing up from her pad after finishing writing out the rest of the rest of the order. She already starts turning her attention toward James.

WAITER

Right...

(to James)

And you, sir?

WAITER

(responding to Panel 4, Bubble 1)

I'm sorry. We actually ran out of cantaloupe. We do have watermelon though.

WAITER

(to both, responding to Panel 4, Bubble 2)

Okay...we'll have your orders out in a jiff.

Panel 4: We cut to a shot of James beginning to lay his menu back down on the table, ready to order.

JAMES

(courteous half-grin, to Waiter)

I'll have the double cheeseburger. But swap out the fries for cantaloupe, if you please- heart issues.

JAMES

(responding to Panel 3, Bubble 2)

That works too. I also want a pineapple margarita.

Panel 5: Cut to a shot of Madison a few moments after the waiter has left the table. She looks directly at James, ready to finally get down to business.

MADISON

So...did you have a chance to look over the data I sent you yesterday, the base outline from Duncan's assistant?

Panel 6: We move to a shot of James at the other side of the table as before. This time, the menu has been taken off the countertop in front of him.

JAMES

(subtle nod, glancing at the table)

I did. There's never been a doubt the seat's getable, with the right candidate in place.
