Rock The Vouhhhnn!, Chapter 2: Part 1.3

Page 30

Panel 1: We move to a shot of Madison and Harry standing side by side at the front of the room a short time later, glancing down to the ceiling in an obvious display of anxiety.

Caption: Five Painfully Long Minutes Later

Panel 2: At the same time, we see the rest of the Advance team (who are around the same age as Madison) looking on with an equal level of awkward anxiety.

Panel 3: Slight close-up to the left side of the table on one of the interns who decides to break the proverbial stalemate in dialogue.

INTERN

(to Madison)

So, umm...we can talk with the different police departments throughout the district- set up a consistent security detail we can call on when we go to a town. Or a town near their jurisdiction.

Panel 4: We move to another section of the table where we see another intern chime in, following the question from before.

INTERN 2

That seems a bit messy. Not to mention the fact police haven't been the biggest fan of Democrats. Especially in this district...what about the ZCR?

Panel 5: Cut to a shot of Madison at the front of the same table; the same setting/layout from the top of the page. She glances over at the two interns with a degree of surprise.

MADISON

We could get them? I thought only the Governor or POTUS could activate their use through outbreak protocol.

Panel 1: Cut back to Intern 2 in the same setting and layout as Panel 4. She shows a bit more confidence, though still a bit apprehensive as before.

INTERN 2

True. But I think with our...undead candidate, we could probably get an exemption through to November.

Panel 2: Back to Madison who shrugs, tacitly accepting the idea with a little glint of excitement in her eyes as well as a half-grin.

MADISON

(to Intern 2)

Okay, I like it. Let's, uh, let's get that done straight away

Panel 3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A split second later, after the grin falls, she starts to address the rest of the group with a renewed jolt of confidence.

MADISON

(Cont., more serious)

Also, tell your friends- particularly whoever "Cautious Elephant" was- if you're going to insult me...try something better than "Puppeteer." It just makes you look like a self-serving Guiliani.

Panel 4: Cut to a shot of Nate on the other side of the coast wearing his Target uniform, doing his best to go through the remaining chunk of his shift. On his face, you can see the glazed eyes and slightly opened jaw stereotypical of zombies in pop culture.

Caption: (the rest of Madison's statement) "And it's best we leave that brand of stupid back with the Apocalypse!"

Panel 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few moments later, Nate tilts his head to the right as if looking for something.

NATE

(thought bubble)

Tell me it's soon...

Panel 6: Cut to a shot of the area he's glancing at- a clock tacked high up to the wall of the massive store, which reads 2:40 in the afternoon.

NATE

(Off-Panel)

Twenty more minutes...wish it were sooner!
