Page 60

Panel 1: Moments later, he's going through the chest of drawers, flinging bits of junk and old clothes searching (to no avail) for something.

Panel 2: Unsuccessful with the drawers, he moves a few minutes later to a drawer in his kitchen; clumps of menus and old keys as well as old playbills scattered on the countertop.

Panel 3: Unsuccessful after that, Nate is squatting on the ground over to the line of shoes a short distance from the kitchen. You can see the exhaustion starting to come over him as he searches for the mystery object.

Panel 4: A short time later, he glances over and notices a silver coin in the bottom of a bowl where his keys are usually placed.

Panel 5: He grabs hold of the aforementioned coin seconds later; a glint of relief and exuberance in his eyes connected to the discovery.

NATE

Yay, didn't lose it!

Panel 1: Action shot of the young man slipping the coin in his pocket, silently dancing a merry jig in his head; his body turning back around to get his luggage.

NATE

(Cont.)

Don't care how "safe" they are- no way I'm setting foot on an airplane without my good luck charm.

Panel 2: We move to an exterior shot of the front of the apartment building. The doors open, and we see Mr. Kelly stepping through the middle of the glass doors holding the handle of his roll-on luggage with his right hand.

NATE

(thought bubble)

Okay. Bags packed, schedule cleared for me at work till next week. Left an E-Mail to Jan with what to do around the apartment while I'm gone.

Panel 3: Cut to a shot of him waiting at a curb just in front of the building, which is still visible in the background, waiting for his ride to arrive.

(Cont., thought bubble)

Now just to wait for the Lyft...and hope the driver isn't a douchenozzle!

Panel 4: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. Minutes pass by, and we see the young man looking toward the left of the panel view at something coming toward them.

NATE

(thought bubble)

That's usually 50/50, right?

Panel 5: Cut to a shot of the car as it's seconds away from coming to a stop just in front of the young man. You can see parts of some nearby buildings and office spaces in the sides of the panel.
