Rock The Vouhhhnn!, Chapter 4: Part 1.1

Page 79

Panel 1: We open on a shot of Reggie Miller International Airport a few hours after we left Nate in Chapter 3. It's a pleasant May early afternoon with a decent amount of air traffic coming in and out at this moment.

Panel 2: Cut to a shot of the terminal a few minutes later. Nate is stepping through the end of the long corridor with his carry-on bags; a group of people walking alongside them on all sides.

Panel 3: An action shot of him exiting his terminal onto the main walkway a short time later. The crowd of people in the background has thinned out at this point.

NATE

(thought bubble)

3 hours- nearly as long as I've been awake. Need a caffeine boost...

Panel 4: Cut to a shot a short time later of the Starbucks facade that is visible in the general eyeline of the young man; the back of his head visible in the bottom of the panel view.

Panel 5: Back to Mr. Kelly in the same setting/layout as Panel 3. He shrugs upon noticing the store, flashing an annoyed and apathetic look.

NATE

Well, it's...caffeine. That's the important part!

Panel 1: A few minutes later, Nate is inside the store waiting in a decently long line for coffee. He glances up at a TV screen mounted on the wall, though out of view of the panel.

Panel 2: Cut to a shot of the TV screen, showing a segment from a local newscast showing the aftermath of the interview from the end of Chapter 3. The chyron underneath the file footage from the interview reads- "Accusations of Favoritism Rocks Jenkins Campaign."

Panel 3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A short time passes, and the chyron below changes to highlight a big quote from Skelton's interview- "In interview, Skelton claims that Rep. Jenkins favored ARC, lead by brother, on 'New Indiana' project among others."

Panel 4: Back to Nate still in line a short time later, close to the front counter. He nods casually in response to the story.

NATE

(thought bubble)

Huh. Props for thinking outside the box. Not sure how much it'll stick though.

BARISTA

(Off-Panel, faint)

Sir...?

Panel 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few moments later, the young man's officially at the front of the line. Though he's still looking up at the TV screen following the news crawl.

BARISTA

(Off-Panel, a little clearer)

Sir!

Panel 6: Cut to a shot of the Barista a moment later, dressed in a standard green and black Starbucks uniform. She has short purple hair with a nose ring and a long bracelet connected to a handful of rings on her right hand. You can see part of the menu behind her in the background around the top half of the panel.
