Rock The Vouhhhnn!, Chapter 4: Part 2.3
Page 90
Panel 1: Same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. The lone difference is that the filter is gone, and we see Madison's actual response- a wide smile and a simple fist pump to herself.
Panel 2: Cut to a side shot a split second later, showing Duncan noticing her silent bit of celebration and flashing a look of caution designed to keep the young woman from being too angered.
DARREN
(to Madison)
You got lucky here, that's all. Doesn't mean you won't be punished for what went down before.
Panel 3: We move to a close-up of Madison's face, tilted quickly to her superior with a defiant and partially defensive look that is visible in her response.
MADISON
Hit me with whatever punishment you see fit, sir. I'd do the same things over again. We have a chance to do something really unique--
DARREN
(Off-Panel)
Madison...
MADISON
(Bubble 2)
--and to do that we'd have to differentiate ourselves from the image of the gawking--
DARREN
(Off-Panel, Bubble 2)
Madison...
MADISON
(Bubble 3)
--gaffe machine we've been up to this point.
Panel 4: We move to a similarly framed close-up on Darren screaming at the tail end, trying to get her to stop rambling at that point.
DARREN
(screaming)
MADISON!
Panel 5: Madison peels back at the loud response, which has triggered a rush of anxiety that's brought about by the sudden shout.
DARREN
(Off-Panel, under breath)
Shit...s--sorry.
Panel 6: We move to a side shot of the two of them a second later (Darren to the right, Madison to the left). He reaches out with a sympathetic hand on her shoulder; the rage of Panel 4 considerably tapered back.
DARREN
(Cont., apologetically)
Duncan told me about your...unique brain, and how you're not a fan of loud shouting. Just got a bit frustrated is all.
(Bubble 2)
Anyway, where was I?...
Page 91
Panel 1: Same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. He stops in the middle of his thought that was coming then, inspired by a thought that just hit him.
DARREN
Ohh, yes! I just came up with the perfect punishment. Though, in the right eye, you could see it as definitely a "reward."
Panel 2: Cut to Madison who's eyes have grown a bit wide in excitement upon what precisely this "reward" is referring to.
MADISON
Cool! What is it?
(thought bubble)
Did I hear quotation marks on reward? Couldn't tell...
Panel 3: We stay on the same layout of the young woman's face, outside of the presence of her headphones and the change in the background to some type of outdoor setting. The excitement from before has been replaced with a sense of dread annoyance at what the reward was.
MADISON
(thought bubble)
Ah, flark...those were quotation marks.
Panel 4: Cut to a wide shot of the set, showing a small collection of techies moving about (with Ms. Mitchell in the middle) as well as the camera and computer setup to the left of the panel view.
