Rock The Vouhhhnn!, Chapter 4: Part 3.2
Page 91 (Chapter 4, Page 13)
Panel 1: Back to Ms. Mitchell with the headphones over her ears, getting back to normal and showing the slightest twinge of anxiety that was more evident in Panel 4 of the previous page. You can see her right hand clicking on the play button on the side as she speaks.
MADISON
(nonchalant as possible, to Zoe)
It's okay- happens with anyone who touches me. Once the music's going though, I should be fine.
Panel 2: We move back to Ms. Olson in the same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. She nods with a degree of knowing connected to what the young woman told her in Panel 1.
ZOE
(to Madison)
The autism thing, right? My second cousin on my father's side's autistic- sweet girl.
Panel 3: Same setting as the previous panel. The layout widens to take in the rest of the director's body, pointing the way to the set behind her. At this point, the PA isn't seen having already left the scene off-panel in the previous page.
ZOE
(Cont., warm smile)
Now let's find you something to do…
Panel 4: A short time later, we see Madison holding a boom mic with a big tree behind her. There's a palpable look of confusion on her face as she speaks connected to the image.
MADISON
I thought the dialogue was mostly voice over in this ad.
Panel 5: Back to Zoe in the director's chair, glancing from her periphery to her left where Ms. Mitchell happens to be standing. In front of her, you can see the back of a monitor where the footage's coming in.
ZOE
It is. But there's one part of it that needs the mic- the explosion.
Panel 6: Cut back to Madison in the same setting/layout as Panel 4. Upon the answer from the previous panel, the young woman flashes a puzzled and curious eyebrow at the statement, looking for more info.
MADISON
I--I thought that explosion was CG---

Panel 1: A split second later, there's an explosion that rips through the area where Madison was standing. You can see her turn herself to the side to absorb the blast; the mic still hovering in place.
Panel 2: Zoe nods approvingly, glancing at the footage as it comes on to the camera; her back pressed a little harder on the back of it as she speaks.
ZOE Looks good…there was a bit of a thump though at the tail end of it.
Panel 3: Madison, looking over in Zoe's direction, nods with a degree of apology to the statement. As she speaks, you can see her left hand dusting off bits of ash from the side of the shirt she's wearing.
MADISON
That was probably the mic hitting my side during the blast- sorry about that.
Panel 4: Same setting/layout as Panel 2. A beat later, the director turns her attention toward the young woman, nodding reassuringly in regards to Ms. Mitchell's statement from the previous panel.
ZOE
No worries. We've got enough in reserve for a few more takes.
Panel 5: We move to a point out of camera view where a burly female tech wearing a Clash T-shirt is standing with her arms crossed over her chest; a thumbs up flashed from her right hand, along with a slight grin, in regards to Zoe's answer.
ZOE
(Cont., Off-Panel)
Isn't that right, Colleen?
Panel 6: Back to Zoe in the same setting/layout as Panel 4. A few beats later, she leans a little forward in her chair; her hands gripping both arms of the chair.
ZOE Right then. Let's prep for the next take…
