Rock The Vouhhhnn!, Chapter 4: Part 4.2

Page 99 (Chapter 4, Page 21)

Panel 1: We move to a similarly framed shot of her face, with her headphones on, a few days later; the layout changes showing a brick wall in a blandly colored tan brown color. Compared to the end of the previous page, her attitude has considerably soured toward a basic boredom.

A Few Days Later

Panel 2: Cut to a shot of a person standing in the back of the small audience, holding a microphone in their left hand. They have a shaved head and is dressed in a long-sleeved shirt and a pair of torn jeans.

TOWN HALL MEMBER

(to Henry)

The Democratic party in the county has been essentially MIA since long before the Wars, particularly in the area of the promotion of the arts. Why should I trust you over any of the other Democratic Socialists that have been so good for our city since Reformation?

Panel 3: Cut to a shot of Henry on the stage a few beats later, glancing center-left. You can see Capt. Rogers standing at attention, touching the weapon holstered on her side in preparation for whatever weirdness may come.

HENRY (from the speaker)

Well, for starters- I’m not a Democrat. Or, alive, technically…

Panel 4: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A beat later, there’s a respectable amount of laughter from the crowd. There’s even a bit of a smirk from the good Captain, though not a great deal.

Panel 5: We shift to a slight close-up on the undead candidate a short time after the laughter dies down. His glossy green eyes move a few inches to the left of the panel view as the answer continues.

HENRY

(Cont., from the speaker)

In all seriousness, you’re absolutely right. The way the party’s operated has been an issue for awhile. In terms of what the D-Socialists have done, particularly here in Versailles, there are a lot of things to admire- like the Arts Co-Op we’re in right now for example. I’d love to bring in more of those ideas to the House if I were elected.

Page 100 (Chapter 4, Page 22)

Panel 1: Same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. It follows along the same string of thought from that aforementioned panel; a smattering of applause flowing in off-panel from the audience. You can see, as Mr. Skelton’s speaking, part of the decaying skin start to flake off just below his right eye.

HENRY

(Cont., from the speaker)

Will there be some stuff that I might balk against? Sure. But with me, you’ll definitely see someone willing to give a look at these kinds of outside the box policy ideas compared to other Democrats that have come here…

Panel 2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. Right in the teeth of Henry’s explanation, the power suddenly goes out in the lobby, bringing the town hall on the whole to a screeching halt.

Panel 3: Cut to a shot of Madison at the same moment this outage is going on. She looks up from the tablet into the darkness; her face illuminated by the glow of the tablet screen still on her lap.

Panel 4: A short time later, we see her in the back of the room talking with the manager of the Co-Op, PEGGY, as she’s working on the fuse box. You can see the look of worry and confusion on the young woman’s face as she speaks, along with the audience talking with each other illuminated by phone lights as well as mini flashlights shaped like medieval torches.

MADISON

(worried, to Peggy) I thought you said you’d taken care of the technical issues.

PEGGY

(nonchalant, to Madison)

I had, little capitalist.

Panel 5: We move to a close-up on the woman’s face in the middle of her work, glancing over to the left in Ms. Mitchell’s direction with the same calm, nonchalant demeanor we saw in the previous panel.

PEGGY

(Cont.)

This is just old wear and tear, aided by a Governor’s office that barely tolerates our existence. You probably have some knowledge of that, yeah?

Panel 6: Cut back to the same setting as Panel 4; the layout a little tighter, showing Madison to the right of the panel view glancing up as the power returns to the lobby area.

PEGGY (Cheshire cat grin) And that is the badass magic of a top shelf Stage Manager in action!
