Rock The Vouhhhnn!, Chapter 4: Part 4.3
Page 101 (Chapter 4, Page 23)
Panel 1: An action shot consisting of the scrappy manager walking back to her office off-panel right. You can see Madison nod appreciatively toward Peggy for her work at the same time.
MADISON
(to Peggy) Thank you for your work.
PEGGY (to Madison, casual)
Eh, it’s easy peasy for me…
Panel 2: We move to a close-up on Peggy’s face a moment later. She’s stopped walking and turns back in Ms. Mitchell’s direction for one last statement.
PEGGY
(Cont.)
We don’t actually hear Dems around here give the thumbs up for D-Socialists- kudos.
Panel 3: Cut to a shot of Madison, shrugging and giving a coy grin at the compliment. In the background, you can see a few of the people who were hanging out in the same area walking back to join the rest of the Town Hall.
MADISON
Thanks. It’s nothing all that brave or revolutionary though, just logical.
Panel 4: We jump to the entrance of the Co-Op at the end of the Town Hall later that night. There’s a stream of people exiting the building in a variety of moods, chatting or dealing with their phone at any given time. In the front of the line is a skinny beanpole of a man in a crisp Navy suit, holding a phone in his right hand.
Caption (Cont., Madison) “Fortunately, your Eck keeps the TV cameras at bay. So, I won’t have to deal with any pundit drama. Again.”
Panel 5: Cut to a slight close-up of the beanpole man, glancing down at the phone a few moments later; an evil smile over his face at the footage.
Caption (Cont., Madison) “That’ll be nice, at least.”
HENRY
(Off-Panel, from the phone speaker)
“...I’d love to bring in more of those ideas to the House if I were elected.”

Panel 1: Cut to a shot of Rep. Jenkins emerging from a ballroom to a sea of applause partially seen through the opened doors. You can see a pair of security guards standing on either side of him, along with some fans who hadn’t gotten tickets to see him inside that had gathered outside just for a chance to see the Congressman.

Panel 2: We move to a close-up minutes later showing the Congressman chatting it up with a pair of locals on the line. Coming in from behind him from panel right to left is his campaign manager KANNA “KEN” MILLS trying to get his attention.
KANNA
(to Rep. Jenkins) Congressman, there’s--there’s something you need to see.
REP. JENKINS
(dismissive, to Kanna)
Unless it’s a liter sized coffee, Kenny, I’m not all that interested.
KANNA
(Bubble 2) It’s about Skelton…
Panel 3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few moments pass, and we see Kanna now standing alongside his employer explaining the meat of the plan from before. As was the case in Panel 2, we see the Congressman chatting it up with people while also dealing with the bulk of the conversation.
KANNA (Cont.) One of our spies in Versailles picked up some...interesting rhetoric while at a Town Hall in one of those daft live-in Artist Co-Ops.
REP. JENKINS
(groans)
Still not catching my interest if I’m honest. Especially since we’re still ahead of the meatslab by double digits.
Panel 4: Cut to a close-up of Mr. Mills’ face a second later, shifting to a different tact with his conversation. You can partially see one of the members of the security detail in the background looking around at the perimeter as the two of them speak.
KANNA
What if I can tell you this rhetoric will get that stupid Z out of the race for good and guarantee another term in Congress come November?
Panel 5: A two-part set of panels that moves back to a similar type of framed close-up on Rep. Jenkins. In Part 1, he glances down in a bit of intrigued curiosity, stopping right in the middle of the line which is visible in the background.
Panel 6: In Part 2, after a few moments thought, he looks back over at his friend/campaign manager with a great deal of intrigue settled to what the news may be.
REP. JENKINS
There’s a diner a few blocks from the hotel...
Page 103 (Chapter 4, Page 25)
Panel 1: Action shot of the Congressman walking into the aforementioned diner from the end of the previous page. You can see some of the members of the security detail from the previous page getting into position at the entrance.
Caption (Cont., Rep. Jenkins) “We’ll see if it lives up to your lofty expectations.”
Panel 2: We move to another action shot moments later showing the Host working at that moment taking him to a separate part of the diner away from the prying eyes of the other customers in there.
Panel 3: Cut to a side shot of the two of them a minute later heading up to a booth located in the back of the diner complete with blacked out windows that are partially visible to the right of the panel view.
Panel 4: Inside said booth, we see Rep. Jenkins seated right next to Kanna who opens up a laptop that is placed in front of him at that point in time.
Panel 5; Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few minutes passes, and we see the laptop now placed in front of the Congressman. He looks down at the screen and we see the same wide evil grin that the minion had upon seeing the footage for the first time.
REP. JENKINS
Okay...we definitely have something!
