Rock The Vouhhhnn!, Chapter 6: Part 4.1
Page 147 (Chapter 6, Page 19)
Panel 1: We move back to Zoe slipping the phone into her pocket, glancing over at her friend with a tinge of curiosity on her face.
ZOE Forgot what?
Panel 2: Action shot of Ms. Mitchell quickly hopping off her chair, leaving the tablet on the table; her eyes already shifting off-panel left in the direction of the door.
MADISON
(with urgency)
The podcast-”I on Politics.” We’ve got an interview with them today.
Panel 3: Back to Zoe in the same setting/layout as Panel 1. She’s still unfazed in terms of the panic of it all, but isn’t totally judgmental of the emotional center on the whole.
ZOE
Oh, right. Luckily, there’s not a lot of prep we’d need to do. It’s a podcast- all we gotta do is look semi human and not cough in the middle of answers.
Panel 4: We move back to Madison a few moments later, grabbing the tablet off the table as she strides off-panel left; her gaze glancing partially back in Zoe’s direction to address her.
MADISON
I wouldn’t be so overconfident, Zoe. I’ve met the host before…
Panel 5: Cut to a shot of the host, JOCELYN JAMESON, in a red and black colored studio; the logo of the show partially visible in the background. She’s dressed casually with a basic amount of makeup on, seated on a high leather chair and preparing for the interview with a pair of headphones over her ears.
Caption
(Cont., Madison)
“She’s not a cream puff. We’re gonna need to be at our A-Game with her.”
Panel 6: We move to a shot of the producer, MAY, seated on the other side of the room in front of the control panel. She’s in a weathered Beetlejuice T-Shirt with short purple hair that’s scrunched together by the headphones she’s wearing at that moment.
MAY
(to Jocelyn)
Skelton’s on the line, J Squared.
JOCELYN
(Off-Panel) Thanks, May…
Page 148 (Chapter 6, Page 20)
Panel 1: Cut to a shot of a laptop screen placed on the desk next to her, showing Henry in the central part. You can also see part of Madison’s head around the right side of the screen, trying her best not to be noticed.
JOCELYN
(Off-Panel)
Minnie! Hey, good to see you…!
Panel 2: We move to a close-up on Jocelyn’s face, smiling lovingly upon seeing the young woman on the corner of the screen.
JOCELYN (Cont., to Madison)
How’s the reboot treating you?
JOCELYN
(Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 3, Bubble 1)
I noticed. Congrats on the new ad. I just saw it this morning...couldn’t help but notice you used our old song.
Panel 3: Cut to Ms. Mitchell on the other side, waving back at her with an awkward half-grin on her face; the top of the tablet pressed to her chest with her opposite hand as she speaks.
MADISON
A little bumpy at first, but I--I think we’re settling into a good stride. Got a few points closer in the last poll.
MADISON
(Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 2, Bubble 2)
Can’t go wrong with Seger.
Panel 4: We move to a shot of Zoe filming the exchange from her phone a moment later. She’s holding a small whiteboard which has “Ex-Girlfriend…?”
JOCELYN
(Off-Panel)
Hahaha...that’s true.
Panel 5: Back to Madison who silently nods at her friend’s question; the setting and layout similar to what we saw in Panel 3. All the while, she listens to the rest of the podcast host’s statement.
JOCELYN
(Cont., Off-Panel)
So, let me fill you in on our usual cold open…
