Rock The Vouhhhnn!, Chapter 9: Part 3.3
Page 218 (Chapter 9, Page 17)
Panel 1: Madison shrugs with a modicum of intrigue and curiosity at the request, slipping the headphones off of her ears as she speaks.
CAPT. ROGERS
(Cont., Off-Panel)
Also can be seen as a good luck charm, in the right light.
MADISON
Okay. Unless it’s some dried up zombie body part. Happened once going through the Smithsonian- the feel of it…
Panel 2: Back to the Captain letting out a brief and hearty chuckle, shaking her head at the statement. As she speaks, you can see her reach into one of the pockets in her trousers containing the charm in question.
CAPT. ROGERS
It’s not thatt. Though it is from the Wars, in a sense.
Panel 3: Cut to a shot of the object in question- half of a weathered brown and yellow scarf, part of which is seen dangling down both sides of the woman’s closed fist.
Panel 4: Ms. Mitchell grabs the scarf a few beats later, examining it in a silent attempt to understand any type of hidden meaning behind it...and failing miserably at that moment.
Panel 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. She glances back up at the Captain with the first idea that pops up after the introspective period; her right hand moving to place the scarf down to her side.
MADISON
I’m not sure this can stay around Henry’s neck for that long.
Panel 6: Rogers shakes her head once more, letting out a deeper chuckle than in Panel 2. You can see the same sense of calm and quiet reminiscing in her eyes as she explains the meaning.
CAPT. ROGERS
I got that off the ground my first day in the service, just before this phalanx of Zs jumped my unit. Wrapped it ‘round my head...somehow didn’t become chum, though I came close. Kept it with me every single day since then.

Panel 1: We move back to Madison in the same setting/layout as Panel 5 of the previous page. She looks over the scarf, partially amenable to the charm as she listens to the rest of the story.
CAPT. ROGERS
(Cont., Off-Panel)
I figured this once though- this close to election day, you could use the extra boost of good luck.
MADISON
(appreciative, to Capt. Rogers) Thanks, Cap…
Panel 2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. The woman wraps the scarf over her neck just below the headphones; her focus still on the good Captain as one last question pops into her head.
MADISON
(Cont.)
You lined up your next job yet?
Panel 3: Capt. Rogers shrugs and glances down to the floor, which says much of the answer to Ms. Mitchell’s question. You can also see in her eyes the slightest glint of anticipation connected to her response.
CAPT. ROGERS
Actually, I’ll be taking some well earned leave. Me and my Jewel are planning our honeymoon the day after the election.
CAPT. ROGERS
(Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 4, Bubble 1)
Haven’t decided yet. It’s a toss-up between road tripping through the European Federation visiting B.A.R. monuments or an MCU cruise through the Mediterranean.
Panel 4: Back to Madison who throws an expression back at her that is a mix of surprise and sadness; the headphones shifting slightly to the left, corresponding with her head movement.
MADISON
Oh Gods, that’s right- slipped my mind! Where are you guys going?
MADISON
(Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 3, Bubble 2)
Didn’t the outbreak start on a cruise line?
Panel 5: The Captain chuckles and shakes her head in response to the previous panel. She looks back up from the floor at Ms. Mitchell with a little more of the excitement that was partially seen in Panel 3.
CAPT. ROGERS That’s what I told her! But she’s a Marvel fan, and she’s always wanted to visit Italy ever since I told her about the time I worked a bar mitzvah for some billionaire Tech-tator I worked for back in the day.
