Rock The Vouhhhnn!, Chapter 10: Part 3.3

Page 240 (Chapter 10, Page 17)

Panel 1: We move back to Zoe a moment later, standing up from her chair and glancing back to her friend; a casual look on her face, already somewhat shifting away from the conversation.

ZOE

If it is a scammer, give ‘em a nice “knulla dig” for me.

MADISON (Off-Panel)

Will do…

Panel 2: Back to Ms. Mitchell a short time later, focused entirely on the phone. It’s an action shot consisting of her unlocking the screen on her phone; her face scrunching up slightly, ready for whatever will arise.

Panel 3: Cut to a shot of her screen, highlighting the Call History on her phone. At the top of the panel, there is a series of four calls coming from the same Washington, D.C. based phone number. The interval of time between each one averages a little over 20 minutes. There’s also a couple of phone calls from Indianapolis as well as Chicago and Cleveland and New York littered within and underneath it.

MADISON

(Off-Panel, thought bubble)

Still could be Polipaps...

Panel 4: We move back to Madison in the same setting/layout as Panel 2. The development from that aforementioned panel catches her attention, though does little to provide any concrete answers.

MADISON (Cont., thought bubble) Could try a reverse phone search- the wi-fi’s definitely strong enough…

Panel 5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. In the middle of her train of thought, she’s interrupted by the sound of a random stranger calling out to her from off-panel right.

CUSTOMER

(loud, Off-Panel)

CONGRATS…!

Page 241 (Chapter 10, Page 18)

Panel 1: Cut to a shot of the customer in question- a hipster-looking guy in his 20s sporting a man bun, square rimmed glasses, and an outfit befitting a prospector from the 1870s. You can see by his face and the drink sloshing in his right hand that he is quite drunk at this point.

CUSTOMER

(Cont., bellowed cry) WHOOO…!

MADISON

(Off-Panel) What the…?

Panel 2: Back to Madison watching the customer stumble off toward wherever part of the bar he’s sitting in. She has a look of confusion and “creeped out” on her face, holding back a loud chuckle as she speaks.

MADISON (to herself) I wondered when the “drunk idiot” portion of the night was gonna start.

Panel 3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few moments later, there’s a steady bit of applause coming from the bar area that catches her attention; the confusion from the previous panel is more prevalent at this point.

MADISON

(thought bubble)

Where’s Zo? She was the one holding the leftover Po...

Panel 4: From over the young woman’s shoulder, we see the bar and the TV over in the distance. You can see on the screen something resembling the image from earlier in the chapter, though the image is a bit different.

MADISON

(Cont., thought bubble)

Whoa!

Panel 5: Zooming in a little closer at the TV screen, we see a picture of Henry Skelton placed in the same position on the screen as the call from earlier. To the right is his name and above it the words “WINNER- IN CD-6.”
