Rock The Vouhhhnn!, Chapter 10: Part 4.2

Page 244 (Chapter 10, Page 21)

Panel 1: A short time later, we see Madison and Zoe standing in the doorway looking in; the bulk of the panel showing a section of the House floor they’re about to walk through. It looks fairly similar to what we know in the present day, save for what appears to be some type of technological presence on their respective desks as well as some type of plastic barrier on one of the desks.

Panel 2: A three-part set of panels that follows the two of them descending down the middle of the hallway in conversation. You can see a handful of the desks closest to the path on both sides of the panel view.

MADISON

(amazed, looking up at the ceiling)

This is a pretty good time to thank...whoever the hell might be up there.

ZOE

I vote all-seeing Sif, for...obvious reasons.

MADISON

(Bubble 2)

Hahaha. It may not be long, but- to actually be standing on the floor of the House of Representatives! The blessed ground of giants and noble men and women--

ZOE

(chiming in, Bubble 2)

--and dense flesh-colored bags of idiocy and self-righteous crap.

MADISON

(Bubble 2)

--and that, yeah. To think we’re gonna call this place our job for the next two years...at least!

ZOE (Bubble 2)

I need to give you a moment, bud…?

Panel 3: In part 2, after a few more steps, we see Madison chuckle loudly at the statement and flashing a warm half grin at the statement. You can also see a bit of defensiveness tinged in the young woman’s reply.

MADISON

Can’t knock me for a little nerdy rambling about government, Ms. “RiverVixen8922.”

ZOE

With “Riverdale,” at least there’s some drama and good cheesecake…

MADISON

(interjecting, Bubble 2)

Which is different from D.C. how?

Panel 4: In the third and final part, a split second later, the defensive/attacking train of thought Zoe held in the previous panel has derailed upon a sudden spark of realization that comes over her.

ZOE

(sees her point)

Point taken.

MADISON

(businesslike)

After the oaths, let’s finalize the staff rosters for the D.C. and district offices.

ZOE

(Bubble 2) Will do. Afterward- Disney+ and Hawaiian pizza for dinner?

MADISON

(Bubble 2)

Done!

Panel 1: Cut to Madison taking her seat a short time later on one of the desks nearby in view of the swearing in ceremony; her headphones around her neck, and her bag on the ground next to her feet. You can see the tablet in her left hand just above the countertop, turned off at this point.

Panel 2: We move to a slight close-up on Ms. Mitchell’s face a few moments later, slipping on the headphones to her ears. You can see a wave of nervous red and orange colored lightning bolts of nervousness emanating from the top of her head, albeit more controlled and balanced than we’ve seen before.

Panel 3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel, along with the same metaphysical colorings over her head. With the headphones on her head, you can see her hand raise up toward the device’s on/off switch.

MADISON I feel up for a little old school Pop-Rock…

Panel 4: At the swearing-in line, as this has gone on, we see Rep.-elect Skelton is being wheeled into position by Capt. Rogers at the back of the cage. She’s dressed in head-to-toe protective equipment, watching intently as the other newly elected Congressman finishes up.
