The Community, Issue 1: Part 3.3

Page 17

Panel 1: A two-part set of panels that focuses on Ant in the center of the shot. She shares the same level of outrage as she speaks the others. Seanna, meanwhile, starts to lose his grip on consciousness; the wear and tear of keeping upright finally overtaking him until...

ANT

(offended)

Unf-duckingbelieveable! This is the third time this has happened! I thought HHS was gonna fix this shit--!

Panel 2: They collapse on the hard ground, breaking Ant from her original thought. You can see the guy she intimidated looking on with horror at the scene; the first to notice the scene before she did.

ANT

(hears the commotion; confused)

Wha--?

Panel 3: A few moments later, we see her turned around to find Watkins on the ground KO'd cold. A look of shock and fear hits her right at that point as she speaks.

ANT

(to Seanna)

Seanna...

(Bubble 2, to the volunteers)

Help! Help, we need a doctor!

Panel 4: In an all-black setting, from the side, we see Seanna on the ground in the same pose as the previous panel.

Caption

(Cont., Ant)

"Keep fighting, dude...no way you're going down 'cause of conservative laziness."

Panel 5: The young person opens their eyes moments later to what sounds like a choir of angels floating in from off-panel right; their hands pushing themselves off the ground.

Panel 6: Close-up on Watkins looking over in the direction of the music, still woozy after everything that they had went through.

SEANNA

You again...

Panel 1: We move to a shot of the glowing blue nebulous spirit thing floating in front of them. Unlike its first appearance, it's more liquid and rippling like a river after a rock's been thrown in it.

SEANNA

(Cont., Off-Panel)

What are you doing here? Do you speak English? If not, I...I'm pretty good with Klingon.

ENTITY

Choose...life!

Panel 2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. The entity floats on at a pace equivalent to speed walking upstage into the distance.

SEANNA

(Cont., Off-Panel)

Wait! What did you say?

Panel 3: Back to Seanna, now standing and beginning to move in the same direction after it. There's a clear level of confusion on their face over the whole thing, mixed with uneasy resignation.

SEANNA

Ah. "Into the Unknown," I guess...

Panel 4: Side shot of the young person following the path of the entity a moment later.

Panel 5: Flipped upside down, we see Seanna step back out from right to left in the panel view. There's a major change in the setting here, revealing a beautifully green countryside with a few hills in the center of the shot.
