The Community, Issue 1: Part 4.1

Page 19

Panel 1: Same setting as the last panel of the previous page; the layout flipping back rightside up, showing Seanna looking around at the scene in wonder as they follow the entity. You can see little windows of that moment in time in the sky of the shot.

SEANNA

(in awe)

Huh. Looks a lot like that camping trip Mom and Dad and me took over at Graeagle when I was 13.

(Bubble 2)

I can even see when we performed one of Shakespeare's sonnets in front of the camp fire.

Panel 2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. They stop a beat later, struck by a sudden realization at that point.

SEANNA

Wait- I'm in my own mind now. How the...the virus doesn't do this. Does it.

(Bubble 2)

Where's that weird energy thing?

Panel 3: Action shot showing Watkins from the rear as they catch up to the entity, still moving in the same pace it was going as before.

SEANNA

(to the entity)

Hey- you owe me an explanation. Now! Am I dead? Is this the afterlife? Is there a way back?

Panel 4: A few moments of no answers later, the young person stops running; a sense of desperation painting on their face as they speaking. In the background, you can see a ring of fire forming in the distance, moving toward Watkins.

SEANNA

(Cont., desperation)

This can't be it! Please...Please tell me there's a way I can go back. There's so much I still have left to...

Panel 5: The entity looks on (or presumably looks on) at the desperate near crying human in front of them. A long beat separates this panel and the previous panel before, in its typical booming voice.

ENTITY

Choose...life!

Panel 6: Same setting/layout as Panel 4. The desperation on Seanna's face then has changed to one of utter anger at the non-answer. At this point, the fire encroaches ever close to the young person's position.

SEANNA

That's what I'm trying to do, you--!

Page 20

Panel 1: Same setting/layout as Panel 5 of the previous page. The entity turns around and sets off once again, at a slightly faster speed than before.

SEANNA

(Off-Panel)

Hey! I'm not leaving till you answer me...

ENTITY

Choose...life!

SEANNA

(Bubble 2)

Something more than a freaking platitude.

Panel 2: Action shot of Watkins a moment later setting off at a faster pace themselves than before; the fire charging ever closer.

SEANNA

(determined, to the entity)

I will get an answer. I refuse to accept that I'm dead because my government couldn't care less about me.

Panel 3: From their POV, we see the entity continuously keeping off in the distance from Seanna. You can see a little more of the green scenery that still exists amidst the increasing scorching, visible here by a light brown cloud of fire coming in from the top of the panel view.

SEANNA

(Off-Panel, to themself)

Wow, it's fast! For that matter...

Panel 4: Back to Seanna in mid super fast stride, glancing down at their feet as they run as quick as a sprinter.

SEANNA

(Cont., surprised & not surprised)

So am I- love dream logic. No way in real life I'd be able to run as fast as the King of Wakan...

Panel 5: The young person crashes a moment later into an invisible wall, disrupting the train of thought.

SEANNA

(pained)

DAOOWW!
