Daylight Saving, Issue 1: Part 1.3
Page 5
Panel 1: Brie dusts themselves off, summoning their composure after the little pocket of annoyance in the previous page; the robomour powering down to a frozen position.
BRIE
(thought bubble) Of course she'd leave the off switch there...it's why I love Millie, honestly. Her openness when it comes to sex both provides some chuckles, and reminds me why I couldn't care less about the action.
Panel 2: Millie looks on at her friend's work a short time later, holding the part in their upstage hand.
MILLIE
Looks good. Sorry that 'Donis got a little handsy- I know how you get with touch and all that--
Panel 3: The young person interjects with a casual and understanding demeanor right at the end of the statement, along with a tiny grin to hammer the point home.
]BRIE
It's fine. Sorry if the kick damaged any internal hardware. I know I get really strong sometimes when I'm spooked.
Panel 4: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. They look on a few moments later, watching awkwardly as Millie tests the genital portion of the robomour (personified with a "PING! PING! PING!").
MILLIE
(Off-Panel) It's made out of stainless steel and a kind of "rubber" forged from clay and seaweed...it'll be fine.
Panel 5: The two of them exchange the part in the living room a short time later. You can see a noticeable look of curiosity on Millie's face over what Brie's planning as she speaks.
MILLIE
(Cont.) So, you're still itching to do that crazy ass project of yours I'm guessing.
BRIE
(light chuckle, defensive) It's not crazy, Millie.
Panel 6: Brie slips the part into their purse a few moments later, flashing the same level of defense from the previous panel.
BRIE
(Cont.) I've been at these calculations for years!

Panel 1: Back in their laboratory, we see Mx. Benoit underneath the base of their machine in repair clothes with pink welder goggles, installing the part from before into the base of the machine.

(Cont., Brie)
"It's the very picture of safety at this point."

A Few Minutes Before Midnight
Panel 2: The young person latches up the door to that section of the machine a few moments later; the goggles off their eyes, resting in front of their short/curly light blonde and aqua blue hair.
BRIE
(excited) ...It's ready!
Panel 3: They stand up and stretch their legs a little bit later just as a familiar reminder pops in over the apartment speakers.
JODW
(Off-Panel) It's close to the time you usually go to bed. You wish to start the pre-sleep ritual?
BRIE
Sure. Not sure if I'll be able to get a proper charge in the past to do it then.
Panel 4: As we see Mx. Benoit leave their work room toward the bedroom, a voice from the past cuts into view.
Caption
(Joanna)
"You sure you have enough energy for this, honey?"
Panel 5: Flashback to a hospital room 8 years ago, showing ANYA in a gown using a crutch consisting of a series of soundwaves with a circular hockey puck-sized base at the bottom. You can see by her face and the position of her body that she doesn't have long, though she tries to keep a cheerful demeanor.
ANYA
(nods) 100% sure. I should leave something important for my Sweet Bee, in case it--it all goes wrong. Even if I have to do it on one knee...I'll do it.
Panel 6: Joanna nods respectfully at her dear wife's wishes, standing behind a tiny camera placed on a tripod; her left hand reaching over to press the Record button.
