Panel 1: Grem is standing in front of the Isle a minute later, watching his friend walking slowly; his mind armed with one question, alongside the playful banter.
GREM
Hey, M...everything spinning and humming as it should?
MIRIAM
(nods) All's functioning, Gremlin. There were times it got close to red though.
GREM
(Bubble 2) Thus why I lent my vest to ya. Speaking of, how'd it hold up?
MIRIAM
(Bubble 2) Surprisingly well...
Panel 2: Close-up on the mecha taking off the now thoroughly broken device, chucking it onto the street.
MIRIAM
(Cont., Off-Panel) Right up to the first round from the Empire's magno guns. Sorry.
Panel 3: Mr. Allen gives a half smirk at the last part of the line, moving back to the craft to unlock the passenger side door as he speaks.
GREM
No worries, it was just a prototype. I can use it as a valuable lesson before building Version 2. I'd be happy to mass produce for your peeps when that's done.
Panel 4: Miriam glances over at her friend with some intrigue as a question of her own that pops up in the midst of the conversing.
MIRIAM
I'll think about that. On the subject of technical tweaks, did you ever handle the issues with the Soundbyte?
Panel 5: He looks back a beat later as he makes his way to the driver's seat, nodding slightly in recognition to the question.
GREM
Aye, about a month or so after JBS. I keep one in the glove compartment as an all purpose "just in case."
Panel 6: The mecha opens the door and begins to take a seat as she replies; her mind shifting to the bigger picture once more.
MIRIAM
Excellent! I can coordinate to the others, make sure they didn't get hit.

Panel 1: He glances over a short time later at her friend as he buckles in, seeing as Miriam starts sifting through the glove compartment for the device.
GREM
Good thinking. You remember how to operate it, right?
MIRIAM
(Off-Panel) Indeed I do, yes.
Panel 2: Cut to a shot of the Soundbyte as she grabs hold of it, showing the top of it as he finishes the rest of his statement.

(Cont., Miriam)
"Red one on the left records, the black one on the right activates the HC- or Horseshoe Crab- feature."
Panel 3: With the device in her lap, the mecha glances at her friend as he powers the ship to properly take off.
MIRIAM
Still don't know why you chose to call it that, by the way.
GREM
I know it sounds a little weird, but once you see it in proper action...
Panel 4: Action shot a short time after Miriam uttered her message to her supporters: a stream of 10 little oval disks shooting out of the cube shaped Soundbyte (4-3-3 on the 3 sides).
Caption
(Cont., Grem)
"Then you'll understand why."
Panel 5: Miriam looks over a short time after the top of the page at her friend with a look of concern that pops up as the mood settles down somewhat.
MIRIAM
So. How are you feeling, old friend?
