Old Scars, Chapter 5: Part 2.2

Page 107

Panel 1: On their feet once more, T looks toward the left of the panel view with the flames of rage crackling in their eyes.

t

(Cont.) You saw where the "familiar" went?

GREM

(quick nod) I also may have a way to track its full movements all the way to its master.

T

(Bubble 2) Good...

Panel 2: We see the same setting as the previous panel, though now with the same misty layout we saw late in the previous issue; the sound of laughter to T's comment bubbling up off-panel. In the background is part of a wall at another part of the dimensional compound.

T

(Cont.) The sooner I can repay that cheap shot, the better!

LOUHI

(Off-Panel) Always prone to violence, you humans.

Panel 3: Cut to a shot of Louhi looking on at the footage from her personal residence, flashing an eager and menacing look in terms of T's boast in the previous panel. Off-panel left, you can hear the same "TWEET TWEET!" of the nightjar coming in.

LOUHI

(Cont.) But if you desire it...what host would I be to not oblige it?

Panel 4: Action shot of her heading out to greet our protagonists, just about to pass the bird as it find its perch in the birdcage. From its beak, you can see a stream of energy shoot outward; an ovular seed-shape bead at the front.

Panel 5: Louhi glances over at the map of the world that appears next to her. It's dotted with red dots that stretch around every inch of the globe.

LOUHI

The last piece of the grid has been established...the time for Cleansing is at hand!

Panel 1: Action shot of the eternally young sorceress walking out of the room a beat later; a mixture of determination and sadness on her face.

(T)

"You okay there, old man?"

Panel 2: Cut to a shot of Grem a short time later with T leaning against the wall, catching his breath and sweating more profusely than normal. You can see a green string near the ceiling which acts as the proverbial "trail of breadcrumbs" for our protagonists.

GREM

I'm good. Not sure for how long though- kinda feels like a half dozen hippos are on my shoulders...

Panel 3: Upon taking a few steps away from the wall, the immortal Irishman is felled by a sudden increase in gravity that freezes him like a statue.

GREM

(pained) GAAAGGHH...!

T

(Off-Panel) Gremmm...!

Panel 4: We move to a shot of T openly thinking to themselves in a matter to get a good hold on what's happening.

T

(Cont., anxious; theorizing)

Crap. We must be standing in...some type of gravitational signature that...messes with...organic matter. My metal half must be keeping it at bay for now. I need to...find a way through before...

Panel 5: An idea pops into the young person's head a beat later, along with a curling side grin connected to said idea.

T

That could be promising...!

Panel 6: Cut to a shot of T's right pants pocket. You can see their corresponding hand diving deep inside in search of something.

GREM

(Off-Panel) What in...?
