Old Scars, Chapter 5: Part 3.1

Page 111 Panel 1: Grem leaps out of the way of the energy beam shot at him. You can see his arm moving to his side at the same time; the bag drifting down to the ground.

Panel 2: T rolls their eyes at the skillful footwork from their associate; the blast being blunted on their end by a makeshift energy shield.

T

You know you have a shield, right?

Panel 3: Mr. Allen lands on his face a beat later, looking over at his friend panel right via his periphery; his right hand next to his side where the Fragarach is stored.

GREM

(playful) Stylistic reflex...couldn't help myself! Now, to deliver this beatdown quick and--

Panel 4: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. Before he could finish his statement, he's felled by a straitjacket restricting his movement. It's followed by...

Panel 5: ...him being slammed hard into the side of a wall. You can see the jolt of pain on the immortal Irishman's face connected to the action.

Panel 6: T charges at Louhi in response to the action with closed fist, aided by rocket boots toward a countering punch.

Panel 1: Mere feet before the young person could land a punch on Louhi, the sorceress counters with a spell that magnetizes T's feet to the ground.

LOUHI

(respectful, to T) You have quite the fire, Miss...

T

(correcting, to Louhi) Mx. T...! And can we skip the villainous monologue? I may be cybernetic in design, but I'm still capable of headaches.

LOUHI

(Bubble 2) I like you. In another reality, we could have been splendid friends.

Panel 2: Louhi chuckles dismissively at the question, shifting her focus from T over to Grem as she speaks with the confidence of millenia of thought.

LOUHI

(Cont.) As for villainy, I believe you both may have me quite mistaken.

Panel 3: Cut to a shot of Grem glancing back at the sorceress just as he gets back to his feet, looking bruised and sore with dried blood and scars just about to heal.

GREM

The past half hour of fighting would say otherwise, Louhi, with respect. Not to mention the portrait of Maarika and...

Panel 4: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A knife appears inside the cage a beat later, trained squarely on Mr. Allen's throat subsequently shutting him up.

LOUHI

(Off-Panel) You would do well to keep her name off your tongue, Son of Gaul!

GREM

(respectful) It wasn't said with ill intent. It's just, the nameplate underneath...wasn't exactly a beacon of sunshine.

Panel 5: Cut to a similarly framed shot of T; a knife also placed up against their throat. You can see a flash of empathy in their eyes in response to the sorceress' rage.

T

All we want is to make sure you're not a threat to the world. You say you're not, that's good enough for us, right?

Panel 6: We move to a shot of Grem; the setting and layout similar to Panel 3. He glances over and quickly nods, getting a rough idea where T is trying to push things.

GREM

Aye! All ya gotta do is let us out of here, and we won't interfere with whatever your grand machinations are...fix whatever ill befell Maarika.

LOUHI

(Off-Panel) Ohhh....I did warn you!
