The Boo-Ya!, Season 2- Issue 1: Part 2.1
Page 7
7.1: Staehlia fiddles around with their universal translator, confused by the request as a whole having only understood the last 3 words of the question.
STAEHLIA
(finding their words)
I…I am certain I heard the words “Boo-Ya!” in the middle of all of that. My translator is having difficulty adapting to your language’s unique vocal signature. Let me tweak it a little bit, see if it clears things up–
7.2: They glance back at the mystery prisoner a few moments later, halted from their makeshift tweaking by the response.
PRISONER
(Off-Panel)
I’m sorry. Is that better?
STAEHLIA
(slow nod, shocked)
…Yeah.
PRISONER (Bubble 2) The planet I come from, O’Julana, we’re a trilingual society- including the Base one of the Capitol.
STAEHLIA
Ah, fascinating.
7.3: Cut to a shot of the prisoner FOHL BIERTO, dressed in gray and black prison fabrics, hobbling slowly toward the metal bars; her left hand reaching up to a section of her thick dark purple hair to pull something out.
FOHL
I’m Fohl Bierto. I’m the head of intelligence for the Crowns of O’Julana. I was on my way to deliver vital news of a plot by the Tristellar Alliance against my planet when a TASF contingent ambushed me and left me here.
FOHL (Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 4, Bubble 1)
The source is protected in a safe house on an ally planet, Mowannis Prime. If you could assist us, ensure her and her information reaches the Crowns, it would–
7.4: Back to the young person with an upturned eyebrow, looking for more information in terms of the story up to this point.
STAEHLIA
What happened to the information in question?
STAEHLIA
(Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 3, Bubble 2)
I sympathize with your plight, Ms. Bierto. But we are not well versed diving into TA politics. I know someone on–
7.5: The spy chimes in over top of Staehlia’s explanation, extending a folded up piece of paper through the bars in their direction with as much energy as she can spare. As she’s speaking, there’s a single BEEP sound effect coming in from off-panel right as Mani’s name pops up.
FOHL
(interjecting)
What about what you did with the Spear? The level of change that left was quite considerable.
STAEHLIA
(Off-Panel) True. Though the effects were quite miniscule.
FOHL (Bubble 2) All I’m asking is for your captain Madam to consider it.
7.6: As Staehlia glances at the information on the note a few moments later, you can see Mani’s name and cell number pop up on the screen over their left shoulder.
FOHL
(Cont., Off-Panel)
If you share this level of hesitation still after hearing the information in question…I’d rather not think about it. But part of me would understand.

8.1: Moments later, having gotten the information hinted at before, Staehlia quickly makes their way to Mani’s cell.
8.2: Meanwhile, back on C-1, Ms. Cartwright is standing a few steps away from the directory when suddenly a sneeze starts to bubble up in her chest.
ROBIN
AH…
8.3: From the camera perspective, a split second later, we see the human woman unleash the powerful sneeze; her face inadvertently revealed toward the security camera that has served as the panel layout here and in the previous one.
ROBIN
(Cont.)
…CHOO!!
8.4: Robin glances up at the camera, recognizing the camera staring back and the sense of absolute dread about who’s looking on at the same moment in time. You can see a stream of data on her to the right of the panel view.
ROBIN
…SHHHIIIIITTTTT!!
8.5: The Madam at C-2, meanwhile, has a less stressed and more annoyed look on her face as the alarm continues onward and guards come toward her position; her hand moving toward her trusty blade, prepping for what’s about to come. You can see her data, like Robin’s, flash to the right of the panel view.
MADAM
Aww…hope they pay you soulless grunts a good deal of ched.
8.6: Meanwhile, back in Mani’s cell, Staehlia is doing their level best to unlock the cell and free her. The young Titanian woman looks up in the direction of the alarm as her dear friend works with expeditious silence.
MADAM (Cont., Off-Panel) Eh, who am I kidding? No way the Alliance gives a thin bett’n about their lower classes!
MANI
Do you need an assist with the door? I think I can muster a good push, even with everything they did to me- and I suspect it won’t be long till one of the guards reach us.
STAEHLIA
I am open for any possible help, dearest. Though I do not believe it necessary, yet. Besides, I do not want to overtax the sore knees you mentioned earlier.
MADAM
(from the comm)
Hey Stahl, how close are ya to freeing your lady fair?
STAEHLIA
(Bubble 2)
La…? I–
