The Boo-Ya!, Season 2- Issue 1: Part 3.3
Page 17
17.1: With the door unlocked and opened, the young person spots the slight rustle of disturbance coming from outside the room; their right arm tensing in subconscious anticipation over what might happen next.
17.2: A few moments later, Staehlia spots the would-be attacker standing a handful of feet in front of them, armed with a retractable billy club with a glowing laser base. You can see the documents, which are downloaded on a pair of square discs, firmly in their left hand.
STAEHLIA
An M-Clahmper…! I was not aware those in your profession took on innocent souls as targets.
M-CLAHMPER
When the pay’s as shiny as they’re giving me…there ain’t much debate.
STAEHLIA (Bubble 2)
Much like I presume there is no debate what you plan to do with me.
M-CLAHMPER
(Bubble 2)
Nothing personal, dude. Just crossing the last t and dotting the last i before my ched comes in.
STAEHLIA
(Bubble 3)
I can respect the logic. Even though you will find far less success taking me on.
17.3: Slight close-up on the merc a split second before going into the full stride to take their opponent down.
M-CLAHMPER
(slight chuckle)
I heard a ton of tales about you “Boo-Ya!” ladies. I always thought the bravado came from your “cap’n.”
17.4: A series of action shots that depicts the fight that ensues between the pair of them. The M-Clahmper does their level best to try to land a blow on the young person, but miss continuously…
STAEHLIA
A common misconception. Bravado is not a thing that is relegated strictly to one person…
17.5: …via a series of skilled (and tech-assisted) moves that keeps the would-be assassin thoroughly at bay. In the last shot here, you can see Staehlia fling the pair of discs into the air.
STAEHLIA
(Cont.)
…it stretches on toward any soul that calls “The Boo-Ya!” home. Though in my case, it’s not so much “bravado” as it is…
17.6: That last move is followed by a bit of skillful acrobatics by the young person, avoiding one last powerful slash by the M-Clahmper.
17.7: It ends with Staehlia holding the pair of discs in their left hand; a slight grin over the corresponding side of their face. You can see the would-be assassin in the background, readying for a desperate counter.
STAEHLIA
(Cont.)
…skillful logic!

18.1: The young person whips out a small oval-shaped remote from their left pants pocket a beat later, pressing the green button at the center before the M-Clahmper could hit.
M-CLAHMPER Nice bit of fighting, nerdo. Make it quick though- I’d rather not have to dwell on the embarrassment of all this for too long.
STAEHLIA
My apologies, then.
18.2: The would-be assassin freezes in a bubble of pocket time; Staehlia already out of view and heading toward the door.
STAEHLIA
(Cont., Off-Panel)
You will find another thing to dwell on- eventually!
18.3: Minutes later, Robin and the Madam meet up with Staehlia in the middle of the apartment building’s lobby. You can see the sense of surprise and relief on both of their faces at the sight of their friend and crewmate safe and sound.
MADAM
Bett’n good to see you in one piece. Stahl!
STAEHLIA
The feeling is mutual, cap’n. Where is Nessa?
ROBIN
With the spy and the rest of her peeps. Did the hitman show up here?
STAEHLIA
(Bubble 2)
She did, yes. It was touch-and-go, though that meditative karate you taught me was put to good use.
MADAM (Bubble 2) Great! Where are they?
18.4: Action shot of the three quickly heading back to the front entrance a beat later, continuing on the conversational train from the previous panel.
STAEHLIA
You remember that temporal spatial manipulator I have been tinkering with the past couple of monats? Well…
ROBIN
(slowly dawning)
…Oh!
MADAM
Bett’n clever, Stahl!
STAEHLIA
(Bubble 2)
Thanks. We should not doddle too long here though.
18.5: Back in the apartment moments later, we see the M-Clahmper slowly regaining movement in their right hand; the scene around them completely frozen for the time being.
STAEHLIA
(Cont., Caption) We only have 10 minuyats to work with before the bubble degrades, so–
ROBIN
(Caption)
Be quick as the bunny- gotcha!
