The Boo-Ya!, Season 2- Issue 2: Part 4.1

Page 19

19.1: We see the two ships a few beats later in the middle of the warp stream with its grand array of colors and such that flow to and fro in the background.

CAPALDI (4Meta Caption) One of my favorite sayings you Ey-arthns throw around is the concept of Murphy’s Law- “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong, and at the wrong time.” Not sure why that’s in my head at the moment, but…

19.2: Suddenly, a pair of proton blasts belch out from Lee_Ainge’s ship right in the direction of the Boo-Ya!’s left flank.

CAPALDI (4Meta Caption)

Ah. That explains it…!

19.3: Action shot of the blast exploding on the aforementioned section of our protagonists’ ship a split second later.

CAPALDI (4Meta Caption)

I should tell the cap’n sorry, before things really go swirling down the proverbial urbkit…

19.4: The ship then breaks out of warp as a result of the impact; the bright array of colors now essentially a messy assembly of brightness in the background.

CAPALDI (4Meta Caption) Sorry!

MADAM (Caption)

What the hell are you…it’s fine, Cap! We got bigger problems.

20.1: On the bridge, the Madam quickly tries to scrape together an answer and a response to the sudden attack; the sturm and drang far less chaotic than in the previous issue, which fuels the confusion we see on her face.

MADAM

(Cont.)

Like getting any semblance of visual over what the hells hit us. Tell me some good news, Ness!

NESSA (Off-Panel) Doing my best to give that, captain…

20.2: Cut to Nessa at the steering wheel, trying to stabilize the craft; her mind going through its own set of thoughts about the situation.

NESSA

(Cont., to herself)

C’mon, you little flarking dyugnos…just pop up a few segundos so I can blast the shite out of–

20.3: She’s shaken a split second later by another hard shake caused by a second blast from the invisible aircraft.

MADAM (Off-Panel) You good?! Did you spot the flarking bastich? NESSA (in pain)

Yeuughhh…

MADAM (Off-Panel, Bubble 2)

I’ll take it as a yes. Let’s go for a full weapons spray, over a 20 metro radius of–

20.4: Capaldi pops up alongside the captain’s chair a few beats later right alongside a creaking noise that bubbles up from the bottom of the panel view.

CAPALDI

(interjecting About that, cap’n- weapons have just gone offline…

20.5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A split second later, right at the end of the AI’s thought, the creaking turns into a full engine shutdown that stops the Boo-Ya! in her tracks.

CAPALDI (Cont.) …along with warp, and roughly half of our regular engine output.

MADAM

(angered sigh) We at least have enough to get us to O’Julana at a good pace? CAPALDI (Bubble 2) Aye. But given the damage on the ship, it will definitely tack another datum or two to the journey than previously thought.

MADAM

(Bubble 2)

Fan-flarking-tastic…let’s book it!
