The Boo-Ya!, Season 2- Issue 3: Part 3.2
Page 15
15.1: A three-part set of panels that leads up to the counter move that Robin started to build up at the end of the previous page. In the first part, she stops after taking a few more steps between then and now.
ROBIN (Cont.)
Whether it’s from TV and women’s mags growing up telling me to get skinny or die, or from the vapid bitches in high school who called me “Ugly Susan Boyle” with the type of venom only an evil teenage girl could manage. Through all that, I’m still standing and fucking fabulous, not because I like it, but…because it’s pretty much a fact of life for the females of my planet, discovering that special threshold before going into a red-eyed rage and murdering every asshole in a 5 kilometer range.
15.2: In the second part, the young human woman squats and starts to go into a hero pose; the shadow of the three antagonists popping in from off-panel right as they resume their march toward their target.
ROBIN (Cont.) Which by the way…I just reached
15.3: In the third and final part, an action shot, we see Robin leaping high into the air and letting out a silent scream into the air. Which appears in misty font to the reader as “SILENT SCREAM.”
15.4: She drops back down seconds later with a thorough and powerful Hulk-like punch to the ground, which reverberates out in all directions to the antagonists…
15.5: …knocking each of them out; the cracks on the ground ending in front of each of them, symbolizing the phantom punch that created it.
15.6: Back to Robin in a standing position moments later, looking up top as a voice proclaims from the top right off-panel corner.
ROBIN (muttering, to herself) That damn well better have worked, ‘cause I…!
VOICE
(Off-Panel)
Tay-R’th has been completed, with 41 minutes to spare.
ROBIN
(slight grin, exhausted; Bubble 2)
<huff>...Awesome! Now what?

16.1: A time passes in the arena of the Challenge, and nothing much happens inside. Robin glances around with a growing sense of confusion and anxiety over what’s happening.
ROBIN
(thought bubble) Wouldn’t say no to a cozy couch, or a door that leads to a cozy couch inside the Palace. Or at least some sign Madam and Stahl got through their challenges…
16.2: A sea of horns pops in a few beats later, breaking up the young human woman’s train of thought. You can see the background start to change and warp ever so slightly in concert with the instruments.
ROBIN
‘Kay. Those sound like Palace-y type horns, right? I’m heading to the Palace. Then again, everything else is changing, which seems weird. What was that bow Kary’lx taught us for meeting the Triarchy…? Just in case!
16.3: As she goes about the complicated process of the aforementioned bow, we see the background becoming a little more warped and regal looking…
16.4: …till it looks more like the Royal Courtyard of O’Julana as Ms. Cartwright goes through the closing portion of the bow. At this point, she starts to sense something off going on in her body.
ROBIN (thought bubble) Shhhiiiiittttt….really, body?! You’re really gonna screw with me n…!
16.5: Just as the Courtyard comes to view, she blacks out and plops down onto the tile floor; the eyes of a few surprised onlookers visible in the background.
16.6: The layout widens to take in the Madam and Staehlia who are on either side of the line, along with Kary’lx on the far right edge of the panel glancing at the scene.
QUIYEN FALLS (Off-Panel) Is your compatriot sound in mind and body?
STAEHLIA (quick nod) Aye, Your Magnificence. This is just a simple…quirk of the body.
QUALG GRAY
(Off-Panel) Right…
16.7: Cut to a shot of the three Crowns of O’Julana (Falls, Gray, and Liana) seated on an equidistant set of thrones ready to listen to our protagonists who we only see the back of in this panel.
QUALG GRAY (Cont.) This “vital information” regarding the Tristellar Alliance you wish to present- I’d do it right quickly.
