I have gone through as many relevant tests as I could ponder given your situation. The results, at this point, seem impossible to sklim away from: the genotherapy I used to help Ms. Cartwright acclimate to space has overwritten a substantial portion of her native human genetic makeup. For all intents and purposes, cap’n, she is more like you or I or Nessa than any of her fellow hu-mahns.

9.2: They move away from the data for a brief bit to check out a set of notes that lie underneath it.

As long as I have known her, I do not believe this will be a shock or disappointment emotionally. I do believe though there will be a sense of guilt brewing inside her in terms of finding a way through the ‘verse without her changing form being a constant burden. If I had a way with conversing, I would try to nudge her in the direction of Mz. Jerniev whom I am quite certain she holds romantic affections for.

(thought bubble 2) Speaking of emotions, the guilt that has been brewing inside since I first learned of Ms. Cartwright’s condition. I know this is not a logical thought to have…

Robin consented to the treatment. She knew what the potential risks were at the beginning, as well as what would have happened if she went without it. But still…part of me wished I could repay this unforeseen circumstance there.

9.4: They remain in the same level of deep thought as the previous panel just as their comm rings off-panel right.

STAEHLIA

(Cont., thought bubble) I do not know how long it will take to pull that off, but I will find a suitable method of repayment.

9.5: Cut to a shot of Mani’s face from Titan popping up from the comm’s holographic projection a few moments later, smiling back at Staehlia’s face from the other end.

MANI

Hello, Heart. I catch you in your own head again?

MANI

(Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 6, Bubble 1) Pretty good. My Tiaun is finally getting over that Wavv sxe’s been dealing with the past weatt.

9.6: Staehlia nods affirmatively, flashing their version of a loving smile that we saw from Mani as they speak.

STAEHLIA

Just the usual stuff in there lately. How goes the datum so far, Heart?

STAEHLIA (Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 5, Bubble 2) Brilliant news! I knew all sxe needed was rest and that Tato soup I recommended–

10.1: Same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. Suddenly, their door slides open off-panel which draws their attention from the conversation ever so briefly.

MANI (Off-Panel) What is it? 10.2: Cut to a shot of the Madam at the doorway a split second later, recognizing the situation then and displaying a corresponding level of respect to it.

MADAM

Apologies for barging in on you time, Stahl. I can give ya five more minuyats, if needed.

10.3: Back to Staehlia struggling a bit for a response to the answer. You can see Mani glancing on from the holo projection, chiming in between the brief silence with a note of understanding.

STAEHLIA

Umm…

MANI Go. I can call back in another horut or two.

STAEHLIA (Bubble 2)

Okay. Till then, Mi’all.

MANI (Bubble 2) Till then, Mi’all…!

10.4: Close-up on Mani’s face from the projection, turning xer attention toward the good cap’n for the second half of their statement.

10.5: Madam fires back with a look that is slightly less confident than what we saw from Mani in the previous panel.

10.6: Action shot of the Madam and Staehlia entering the bridge a short time later, joining Capaldi who is standing a few feet from them. You can see both Staehlia and the AI looking over at the big screen with a mixture of puzzlement and curiosity.
