The Boo-Ya!, Season 2- Issue 4: Part 4.1

Page 19

19.1: The news considerably brightens Brunnya’s mood upon hearing it; a wide, eager smile comes over her face as she speaks.

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA

Praise the Noble Eye–a slice of good news! What about the main goal of the mission?

19.2: Slight close-up on T’H-ina scanning on their tablet a moment later on the next page of the report as she speaks.

T’H-INA

Their data was scrubbed by a TC-brand nanite virus downloaded through a separate port in the middle of fighting. So, the likelihood their armed forces will catch word of the V4X, or this attack.

19.3: The annoyed look that was visible at the end of Page 18 fades slightly at the news as the pair reach the end of a hallway.

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA

Bless the Eye, excellent work T! Makes me saddened for offing the Mercs…at least briefly

19.4: The politician’s assistant flashes an advantageously energetic look in her reply, connected back to an earlier important element.

T’H-INA

Thank you, m’am. A brief suggestion, if I may: The presence of the Boo-Ya! might be a good time to bring in another platoon from Base Sigma-71. One that could be dedicated strictly to–

19.5: Her eager demeanor is interrupted by the Vice Chancellor’s arm clutching her left arm in a tight grip.

19.6: We see Brunnya drift into view from the panel left area to deliver the threatening exclamation point to the action from the previous panel.

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA I do not pay you for your advice on matters of war, especially advice already being hashed out within the MoD. You help keep my personal and professional schedule in order- That. Is. All! Is that clear?

T’H-INA

(scared) Yes, m’am…!

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA (Bubble 2) Good. A word of advice for the next time you bump up your station, my mecha friendo…

19.7: Action shot of the veteran politician quickly breaking multiple bones in the assistant’s wrist with a turn of her hand.

20.1: We focus on T’H-ina clutching her wrist as she slowly goes back to her feet, watching as the Vice Chancellor walks toward a door at the end of the hallway that reads “Vell-Ennis’G Conference Hall.”

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA

(Cont.)

…Always plan yer first punch!

20.2: Cut to a wide shot looking down of the politician entering said room moments later; an assembly of cameras and reporters clumped in the center of the shot, waiting for Brunnya to make her way to the podium.

20.3: With the outline of the Capitol News Service all around the panel, we shift to the beginning of the presser. She flicks on the usual charming and appearance of relatability as she begins; a general and a TASF corporal flanking both sides of the background.

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA

Blessed morning, everyone. Hope you’re all well this fine T’oop-nsdatum…what a game last nacht! I’d never been the biggest Stroocht fan before. But those last few minuyats…wow!

20.4: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A few moments after the laughter that flowed from the bottom of the previous panel, the Vice Chancellor shifts toward the typical ritual of the day’s press conference.

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA

(Cont.)

Now, here’s the latest the Ministry provided us from the O’Julanian front. We lost 244 brave warriors yesterdat on the southern Schemskin front. A lamentable tragedy, to be sure, as is any loss of Alliance life. But still a drop compared to the over 5,000 O’J armored and Air Armada forces that we took to the abyss in the same timeframe, along with the taking of the capital of the Schemskin area, A’Artemnis…

20.5: A little later on in the presser, as we quickly zoom up into space and the many thousands of metros from the Capitol over to the front…

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA

(Cont., Caption) That’s the bulk of the bulletpoints. Oh, wait a minuyat- there was another bit of good fortune I just remembered. An off-the-books operation in enemy space that I—yeah, I believe we can share with you todatum. A small contingent of Basers infiltrated an O’Julanian satellite about 40 horuts ago. The satellite acted as one of the main info hubs used by their intelligence service in multiple attacks on TA convoys over the past couple of weatts.

20.6: …stopping back on the Boo-Ya! just outside of the O’Julanian atmosphere. We focus now on the Madam whistling a tune and making her way to the ship’s holodeck for a nice bit of relaxation after the whole drama from before.
