The Boo-Ya!, Season 2- Issue 5: Part 1.2
Page 3
3.1: Rear shot of the three setting off toward a paved road a few steps away; a section of the village with regenerative flora and fauna off in the top half of the panel view. You can see the shadow of the Boo-Ya! drift over our protagonists as it flies off to a safe orbit.
3.2: Close-up on Madam and Nessa moments after reaching the road, looking outward at the scenery in front of them for some semblance of a clue.
MADAM
They said we should be able to spot the entrance to the shelter network by the painting of a Hecana on the side of it.
NESSA Hecana?
MADAM (Bubble 2) Kary’lx mentioned it briefly before we went to the palace. It’s a big, three-headed shapeshifting bird who’s also their creator goddess. They have it on their royal seal.
NESSA (Bubble 2) Oh right, right…
3.3: A thought pops up in Nessa’s head after a few steps goes by; her peripheral gaze shifting toward the good cap’n.
NESSA (Cont.)
What if one of the Alliance bombas took the drawing out already?
3.4: Madam ponders the good question from her number 1 for a little bit as they pass a building partly visible in the background.
MADAM Good point. There should still be, I think, a wing we should see from long range, or some kind of signal flare. Possibly a–
ROBIN
(interjecting, Off-Panel) Big Pterodrone!
3.5: Madam and Nessa look back in confusion at Ms. Cartwright, standing in the middle of the shot, looking skyward at some object flying in the air a good distance away.
ROBIN
(Cont.)
Pterodactyl…that looks like a drone? It’s not really connected to the discussion, but something that looks like that is heading our way.
(thought bubble)
This super sight is still freaky to get bloody used to…!
MADAM
Maybe it’s an O’J ship that’s passing by?
ROBIN (Bubble 2)
If it is, it’s nothing I’ve seen before.
MADAM (Bubble 2) Okay, I see what’s got ya so worried. Snag the Zemms from the pack, will ya, Ness?
NESSA (quick nod)
Aye aye, cap’n.
3.6: Same setting/layout as the previous panel, taken a short time later. We see Nessa looking at the area with the larger binocular-shaped device.
NESSA
Sorta reminds me of this D’Rujer I saw as a youngin, but a smidge less scary.
3.7: From the perspective of the Zeem, we see the creature making a half-circle in the sky and scanning ground level. The creature’s steel eye doesn’t quite spot the presence of our protagonists at this point.
NESSA (Cont., Off-Panel)
Not enough to keep my mitts off the bett’n trigger though.
MADAM (Off-Panel) Nor do I want ya too, buddo…

4.1: Same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. The metallic colored creature spots our protagonists in the distance a beat later, flashing a spark of red in the distance.
MADAM (Cont.)
Shite, here we go! Don’t do anything bett’n stupid, whoever–or whatever’s–in there…
4.2: Back to the three of them resuming their journey on the road, with the good captain stepping two and a half steps from the others flanking on both sides of the panel view.
MADAM (sigh of relief)
I’ll take it. Back to biz y’all…
4.3: We catch up with the crew a few hours later in a section of town, still nowhere close to achieving their objective. You can see Robin starting to get increasingly tired and drag her feet at the tail end of the line.

Few Earth Hours Later
4.4: Close-up on Ms. Cartwright stopping a beat later, signaling to the others for a little assistance; the tiredness prominently on display.
ROBIN Guys, sorry for bringing this up now. But…
4.5: Before she could finish the rest of her thought, she drops to one knee; her right arm on the ground pressing herself upward, and her eyes barely awake.
NESSA
(Off-Panel) Whoa, whoa…!
4.6: Cut to a shot of the group in a full stop minutes later, with Nessa and the Madam standing on both sides of Robin who is reaching to get one of the energy serum vials contained in a pouch.
ROBIN
(groans)
Woulda told you guys sooner. But I–I thought I had a better handle on it…
MADAM No need, dudo. Not like any of us haven’t faked looking normal when we weren’t anyflarkingwhere close to it.
NESSA
(chuckles)
I’ve done it enough times to have it named after me.
MADAM (Bubble 2) Besides, we could use the rest and re-think, let Cap do the grunt work finding the Hecana drawing.
