The Boo-Ya!, Season 2- Issue 5: Part 1.3
Page 5
5.1: Slight close-up on the good cap’n with the comm raised to her mouth, sending a quick word back to the ship.
MADAM Any progress on finding the village, Stahl? Or still the same ol’ circling around the rocks and destruction?
5.2: Back on the Boo-Ya! (currently flying on Auto in orbit), Staehlia glances over at the big screen as a set of images from the ship’s sensors flash on it off-panel.
STAEHLIA
That would be the latter, captain–at least in the short term. It’s possible in another horut, however, I may have coordinates to transmit down below. Especially with the improvements in…
5.3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. Their thought trails off a few moments later, spotting something interesting on the big screen.
STAEHLIA
(Cont.) Hmm! I may have miscalculated the time slightly.
5.4: A three-part set of panels that consists of a series of action shots of the young person heading off to another part of the bridge, sparked by a sense of inspiration that popped up during the previous panel.
MADAM (from the comm)
What the hells do you mean, “slightly–”?
5.5: In the second part, they pass by the captain’s chair and snag a smartphone-sized device resting on one of the armrests.
MADAM (from the comm)
Helloooo…?
5.6: In the last part, moments later, Staehlia starts typing away at the keypad; their gaze also up toward the big screen at the same time.
MADAM (from the comm)
Capaldi, please tell me that was just the comms shklimming out again. Last thing we need on our plate is the big brain going to–

6.1: Same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. The young person sprinks back to life after completing the task from the aforementioned panel, flashing a level of apology as they fling the image from the device to the big screen.
STAEHLIA
(interjecting) Apologies, cap’n. I was zoned in on a profitable bit of good news that just came my way.
MADAM (from the comm) That mean you found the Hecana painting?
STAEHLIA (Bubble 2) I believe so, yes. At least the path to that same one.
6.2: For the first time, we see the image in question- a stream of blue and pink energy swirling around the entire image in a smooth, consistent stream like the contrail of a ship.
STAEHLIA
(Cont., Off-Panel) Sensors picked up an energy signature that somehow matched that personal security drone we encountered a little while back. I am currently tracking it to wherever endpoint it ends up being.
NESSA (Off-Panel) Fantastic! You think it’s the real deal, that this isn’t the Alliance screwing with us here?
6.3: Back to Staehlia, shaking their head at the command a beat later in a note of thought as they examine the map feed.
STAEHLIA The parameters are far too spread out compared to historical documents with their military. Also, the TASF would use something much more powerful to try to…
6.4: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. Their thought trails off at the presence of an idea right then and there.
MADAM (from the comm) More good news, Stahl?
STAEHLIA
Indeed. I just finished completing the rest of that path…
6.5: We move back to the good cap’n a beat later, looking out at the scenery in front of her as a result of the question.
STAEHLIA (Cont., from the comm)
Do you see any notable landmarks where you guys are standing?
MADAM Ummm…depends on one’s definition of “notable.”
