The Boo-Ya!, Season 2- Issue 5: Part 3.3

Page 17

17.1: Close-up on the machine a few steps later, bellowing out a dire warning from the pilot controlling it to those down below.

RAM-3 CAPTAIN (from the speaker) You have our terms for concession as of yesterdat. Have you and your “council” finally come to your senses and agreed to–?

17.2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. A beat later, there’s a single laser blast that comes into view from the lower right corner of the panel view, hitting it with the same oomph as a pebble on a window.

17.3: Cut to the captain, standing in the middle of the machine’s cockpit, barking out an order to the pilot in charge of the weaponry.

RAM-3 CAPTAIN How predictable…fire when ready, pilot.

RAM-3 PILOT

Yes, sxr!

17.4: Within a breath of that command, we see sizable laser cannons out and firing at the ground below, missing the front line of the rebel contingent (some firing back and others running for cover)

17.5: The rest of the group charges at the machine a short time later, doing their best to take it down and summoning the beginning of the battle.

17.6: High in the air, on a two-person glider, we see Madam and Nessa racing toward the scene; the latter hurling a fist-sized grenade in the direction of the RAM-3…

17.7: …and leaving no impact, courtesy of a force field that has been able to absorb the chunk of action the rebel group has thrown their way.

We’re getting new reports from Brigade 2993 out of Edi*elyin, m’m Vice Chancellor…it is not good!

18.1: A full-page panel, consisting of a transcript of the conversation that soon takes place inside Vice Chancellor Brunnya’s office.

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA: How is that possible? The Brig Captain reported a datum and a halb ago believed they were close to surrender.

T’H-INA: Apparently, the village leader went back on xis word, and the RAM-3 was brought to service. Along with a couple of SkyCruisers that were parked in their cargo.

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA: [laughs] You said it was not good. A few hundred rebels against the SkyForce’s premiere ground clobber- that’s the recipe for positive news.

T’H-INA: Normally, yes. But the villagers were able to unleash a secret weapon in the middle of the fighting that–that was able to penetrate the RAM-3’s defenses…

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA: What kind of “secret weapon”? T’H-INA: There isn’t uniformity on that. But the last we heard from the BC before comms went down mentioned that it resembled a WRE bomba commonly found on the black market.

(Angry muttering to herself for six segundos, including a few expletives that don’t translate to Ey-Arth English)

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA: …How many were killed?

T’H-INA: 55 at the present moment. We’ve been able to keep the incident off the Newsfeeds, but I–

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA: [low growl] Thank the Eye for small miracles!

T’H-INA: …

(Lingering Pause)

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA: …Was there something else you wanted to mentioned?!

T’H-INA: The W4X ran through its final preliminary ten horuts ago. The department head notified me on the way back to the office that they’re ready to start drilling once given the order.

VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA: No need to keep him waiting an absurd amount of time. Get him on the comm and tell him to go ahead now.

T’H-INA: Very good…

A script page- how fancy! Not exactly useful in terms of the way this is being presented.
