Page 15

15.1: The two turn up from the screen at the sound of footsteps belonging to Ms. Cartwright as she makes her way to the console.

CAPALDI Robbie, wait!

15.2: Cut to a shot of Robin a split second later, with her hand hovering a few millimeters above and looking at her friends as they walk toward her.

ROBIN

(angered sigh)

You guys saw the bloody image, the shaking…! Every second we wait here is another where they–

CAPALDI

(interjecting) I know, mate. We’re not trying to stop ya…

15.3: Action shot of the young genius pulling out a pair of rose gold colored metal knuckles that will be tossed toward the human woman a split second after the speech.

STAEHLIA (caring)

We just want to make sure you come at this as intelligently and with as much protection as possible.

CAPALDI (Off-Panel) I mean, that’s the definition of family on your planet, as I understand it.

15.4: Robin grins back lovingly, holding both her hands out to receive the small yet powerful weapons as she speaks.

ROBIN Yeah…Yeah, you’re right! Cheers, guys…

15.5: Back on the base, we see a firefight taking place a short time after we left them; the yellow lights are flashing as a message blares on from the off-panel speaker.

ROBOTIC VOICE

10 minuyats till activation. All personnel not engaging the intruders should move to Transporter Room 3 in the next 5 minuyats and leave to…

15.6: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. Robin appears smack dab in the middle of the fighting in outline form, in a catcher’s pose; the teleportational energy dissipating all around her just before…

15.7: …leaping up to the ceiling, and swinging her left fist toward the lighting fixture that was positioned above her. All of which results a short time later…

16.1: …in a big explosion that takes out the majority of the TA fighters, along with chunks of the ceiling around them.

16.2: Madam glances at the human woman, thrashed and bloodied by the cumulative nature of the battle. You can see Dyio helping Cheroir up in the background as she speaks.

MADAM (annoyed)

Part of me wants to bash you for not waiting for the bett’n signal and straying from the plan. But…

16.3: Ms. Cartwright scoffs and lets out a slight grin, recognizing the humor in the point right then and there.

ROBIN You’d have to be a sizable hypocrite, which I know you hate.

MADAM (Off-Panel) …Truth!

16.4: The two converge a beat later for a brief pow-wow; Madam to the left, Robin to the right. Ms. Cartwright looks around in search of a missing part of the group.

ROBIN Where’s Nessa? MADAM

No word yet, which is a bit of a concern. But the bomba went off, and I haven’t heard or seen any guards chirping over the speakers about other intruders. So, gotta be a good sign.

ROBIN

(Bubble 2) ‘Kay. Maybe I can key in to her comm signal, and–

NESSA (Off-Panel) Or…lookbehind…you!

16.5: Cut to a shot of Nessa appearing behind the Airperson and Cherry, beaten and bruised moreso than the others have been. You can see the patch of red on her left side from the laser wound.

NESSA (weakly) Heya, guys. Now let’s…get…the flark…ouuuu…

16.6: She collapses just before she could finish the rest of the sentence. Dyio and Cheroir move in on both sides in order to help the spirited Number One back up.
