The Boo-Ya!, Season 2- Issue 7: Part 1.2

Page 3

3.1: Xhe finds her way to the doors of a massive conference room later along with eleven other fellow new MPs. You can see a sign placed right next to one of the doors that reads “New MP Office Orientation.”

3.2: Close-up on Rdai walking alongside a fellow new MP, TAT REIER, with a quick question regarding one bit off-panel.

MP BRUNNYA

Why is the top half of the chart blacked out?

MP REIER Because that office space is reserved for incumbents, in leadership, and–in some cases– those with the highest level of seniority.

3.3: Cut to a shot of the chart, which is a detailed office space grid for each MP as well as different ceremonial offices. You can see the grid is painted 90% in the black, save for the bit of white near the bottom. You can also see a metal box in the lower right of the corner with a metal cage attached to it, which is where the lottery is set to take place.

MP REIER (Cont., Caption)

I would put all of that out of mind for awhile. You’d have to kill a lotta people, or kiss a lotta arse to come even close to getting into one of those offices before sprouting your first black-orange hair.

CAPALDI (4Meta Caption) Fun Fact: GIsimeonnians on average live about 133.2 rohtlas. Also, their first aesthetic sign of aging, indicative of all 5 genders, is a patch of black-orange hair on their heads.

3.4: Close-up on the young MP’s face looking at the chart a beat later Xr. Reier’s explanation; xer mind already a few steps ahead as she waits for the lottery to begin.

MP BRUNNYA (thought bubble)

Challenge accepted…!

3.5: We see xer a short time after the lottery formally begins, reading a passage from a dog eared copy of the Orbis Archis- holy text of the Eye. You can see MP Reier glancing from his periphery with hidden disgust and annoyance at the presumed piety.

MP BRUNNYA (thought bubble) What a shame…I’d hoped he could be an ally in this august body! But he’s like all the others- too blinded by the excess of this Age. They’ll learn…

3.6: Cut to Rdai in xer office a few months later, chatting with her staff about an issue when the door swings open.

MP BRUNNYA (Cont., Caption)

Whether by sweet flower or the rush of blood!

4.1: Close-up on the MP moments later, closing the door behind xer; xer eyes focused squarely in the off-panel right direction at someone, gunning for specific information on one bit of news.

MP BRUNNYA

Any news on the status of Bill 7Kelvin-22?

4.2: Cut to T’H-Ina- here an intern assigned to her office- at the desk, shuffling through names and news feeds from both sides of the area as she replies.

T’H-INA I’ve been on the comms with our ideological compatriots all datum, and we’re still ten off passing…

4.3: Action shot of the young intern stepping away from her desk in order to catch Rdai as she passes toward her office, carrying a tablet she snagged from a nearby drawer.

T’H-INA (Cont.)

Me and the other intern Aax were able to calculate the best possible MP to target in order to break the deadlock.

MP BRUNNYA Didn’t the last one the pair of you mentioned miss the mark quite badly? T’H-INA (Bubble 2) It did, but we’ve tweaked the algorithmical skeleton in a way that should give a far better result this time. Just have a look.

4.4: She stops a beat after taking the tablet from her employee’s tablet, scrolling shortly through the program till she finds…

4.5: …MP RHOKLYNN GIAHHTO, whose picture pops up in the upper left corner of Rdai’s shoulder.

MP BRUNNYA Seriously, T?! This disgusting gruntlin of a man’s been dropping snarky comments about me since my Introductory speech on the floor. How in the seven hells can you possibly think–?

T’H-INA Scroll a little deeper, xe’am, and you’ll see why.

4.6: We move to a close-up on the screen where a category of information underneath Mr. Giahhto’s legislative history pops up: Potential For Extra-Legal Coercion.

T’H-INA (Off-Panel) I recognize and understand the negative vibage of partnering with MP Giahhto; that it ain’t as the Eye would do it…
