The Boo-Ya!, Season 2- Issue 7: Part 1.3

Page 5

5.1: Back to the intern a beat later, using as much courage as she can muster while finishing the rest of her pitch.

T’H-INA (Cont.)

But as the Holy Text has proven, there is merit to using the tools of the wicked for righteous means. For example, there is the story of Hohviant liberating the villagers of the Vielt against the Phvyarran…

5.2: MP Brunnya jumps in a split second later, handing the tablet back with the look of someone who knows the story and is sold by the idea.

MP BRUNNYA

Alright, you make a solid case, T. I’ll give this new target of yours a proper try.

5.3: Cut to later in the day, in a posh part of the Capitol outside an equally posh restaurant. You can see a long black cruiser dropping in from the top right corner of the panel view in the direction of the front entrance.

MP BRUNNYA (Cont., Caption) Set me up for a 1 o’clock tomorrow at X-Tuehhn’s. And make sure to ship a copy of Idea #3 to my comm before you clock out for your mid-meal.

5.4: The young politician steps out moments later, dressed in a smart looking teal and gray business suit with a matching purse over her left shoulder.

5.5: At a table inside the restaurant, MP Giahhto is nursing a tall yellow alcoholic drink when he notices the young colleague approaches from the off-panel direction.

MP BRUNNYA (Off-Panel) Myesster Giahhto…

MP GIAHHTO (grins)

Rdai…!

5.6: The two of them shake hands a few moments later, exchanging smiles with (at least to those who don’t know them) appear to be genuine and heart filled.

MP GIAHHTO (Cont.) Gotta say, did not expect to get the invite from your office for midmeal, especially in this part of the Capitol. Didn’t you call Liaanaton in an interview a few weatts back, “The nest of the armpit of A’h-nt?”

MP BRUNNYA (chuckles)

Just the bluntness of my upbringing coming out in a blurt of emotion. I believe I made an apology for those comments a datum and a halb later

MP GIAHHTO (Bubble 2)

Right…

6.1: Rhoklynn takes a seat a few moments later, switching on to a more businesslike demeanor compared to the end of the previous page.

MP GIAHHTO (Cont.)

Anyway, I’m confident about what the hells I’m here for. So, shall we zip-zip to me telling you “Not a chance in the seven hells,” or you wanna wait till at least we order some appis?

6.2: Rdai sighs, reaching over to her purse to grab the proverbial answer to that question; her face, unlike Giahhto, maintaining the courteous facade as she speaks.

MP BRUNNYA

I certainly prefer quickness. But this is a moment where I can relax a smidge. I mean, I have under a couple of horuts to spare before I’m needed back at the office. And besides…

6.3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. The young politician slides a closed manila envelope on the table, putting on the first sense of intimidation as she finishes the rest of her statement.

MP BRUNNYA (Cont.)

…I think you might need the extra time for a little reconsideration.

6.4: The older colleague scrolls through a small stack of four pictures that were inside the folder, stewing in mild shock and annoyance at the attempted blackmail put before him.

6.5: A few moments later, MP Giahhto looks over at Brunnya with a partial degree of respect that has become of the shock and annoyance from before.

MP GIAHHTO This–This is cute. Some snaps of me and a few carnos outside my apartment…this is from the CCGrid, ya? 6.6: Rdai nods matter-of-factly, reaching over to grab the menu partially visible in the lower part of the panel view.

MP BRUNNYA

I’m on the Infrastructure Committee. We get free access to the Grid as a perk.

6.7: Same setting/layout as Panel 5. Rhoklynn scoffs lightly, flashing a nonplussed smile; his left hand holding the stack as he speaks.

MP GIAHHTO

It’s adorable, this attempt of yours. Not enough to get me or my comrades to the Ayes you need for passage. Definitely enough though to milk your office for a big arse midmeal–

MP BRUNNYA (interjecting, Off-Panel) Look underneath the final photograph.
