Page 13
13.1: Back to Lady Jerniev pondering the situation over a few moments later with a mixture of unease and “Fuck It!” attitude that permeates itself…
13.2: …after another beat of thought; zer eyes peeled back to the screen to present their answer to the soldier, with care and honesty that wasn’t readily visible in the previous panel.
LADY JERNIEV
I’ll loop the Madam into everything you’ve told us, along with my compatriots at the Intelligence Service. Where are you located?
13.3: Cut to the Private on the main screen, looking to their right as a set of banging and commotion coming from that particular area. You can see a tense and almost fearful look on their face as they speak.
TA PRIVATE
I’m sorry, but I–I can’t give that location to you guys right this segundo. I’ll leave a document containing the address in a park in the southern Uhnralls. She and the rest of her crew can procure it there.
13.4: A two-part set of panels that starts out on the Lady giving a quick nod to the Private just before the picture on the main screen goes off.
TA PRIVATE (Cont., Off-Panel) Hurry- please! The punishment for revealing this outside of secure military channels is a lifetime on–
LADY JERNIEV
(interjecting) We’ll be there. You have our word…no harm will come to you.
13.5: In the next part, zhe turns to the left where Ms. Cartwright is seated and is set to deliver some important news their way.
ROBIN
(Off-Panel) Hey Hon, something interesting’s going on at the satellite.

14.1: Cut to a shot of the radar screen, showing a bright flicker of orange-red in the middle left corner of the screen. You can see both of our protagonists via a reflection of the screen examining it.
LADY JERNIEV
Praise the Goddess- the AI must have gotten the job done!
ROBIN Possibly…hard to tell coming from this far off. How good’s your ship’s long range sensors, just outta curiosity?
SHIP AI (Off-Panel)
Watch and learn, little hu-mynn…!
14.2: We move back to the main screen a short time later, showing an image of the pop-up satellite as the protective metal cocoon starts to dissipate from view.
ROBIN (Off-Panel) Hot bloody damn, you were right…he did it!
14.3: A two-part set of panels that’s focused on Robin and Lady J a beat later, excited by the result. Though with the former, there’s one worry that comes into play.
ROBIN (Cont.) Where’s the signal though? Cap said he’d pop up a signal to us somehow.
LADY JERNIEV
It’s still fairly early. Should take a few mins, I suspect, for the signal to appear…
14.4: In the second part, right in the middle of Jerniev’s thought, another explosion occurs off-panel that sends a chill into the spines of both of our protagonists.
14.5: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. After a brief patch of silence, the Lady turns to Ms. Cartwright with an attempt at reassurance to her newly minted romantic partner through her heartbreak.
LADY JERNIEV (reassuring)
Okay. That isn’t necessarily bad. The server’s still on the…
ROBIN (interjecting, halting) I know.
LADY JERNIEV (Bubble 2) It’s possible the little bastich could’ve made the jump a split second before and he’s just–
ROBIN (Bubble 2) I know!
14.6: Robin heads back to the communication grid and quickly sits down; a sense of steely determination in her eyes as she does so.
