The Boo-Ya!, Season 2- Issue 9: Part 1.3

5.1: Cut to Airperson Petro seated at the beaten and scarred, yet still functioning weapons section; their eyes focused toward the Madam on the holographic screen located on their right.
MADAM (chuckles) Not in the slightest. We may look nervy to the outside, but each of us trust one another’s backs in a fight that makes it more…achievable, I guess.
DYIO PETRO Doesn’t hurt to have a big brain like Staehlia either.
MADAM (Bubble 2) No. No, it does not…!
5.2: Close-up on Dyio’s hands, lining the shot up on the keypad a few beats later.
DYIO PETRO (Off-Panel) Lining the shot up now!
5.3: In a similarly framed shot, we see the Vice Chancellor in her ship doing the same kinds of actions as our protagonist is doing.
VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA
(Off-Panel)
Time to face the Eye’s wrath, you loathsome pieces of–
5.4: Suddenly, the proximity alarm goes off, drawing the veteran politician’s focus up toward the viewscreen to see the problem at hand.
VICE CHANCELLOR BRUNNYA (defiant growl, making the last keystrokes)
The hells?? I thought I’d disabled their weapons already. No matter…
5.5: The blast bursts forth from the barrel of Brunnya’s weapon a few beats later, tracking from right to left…
5.6: …crossing the missile coming from the Boo-Ya! moments later, like two passing ships in the night.
5.7: The missile from the VC misses the Boo-Ya!, barely clipping part of its wing. As for the other potential recipient, as evident by the off-panel right blast that stretches in at the same time this goes on.

6.1: We first see the fiery hole emanating from the side of VC Brunnya’s ship a split second after the end of the previous page, along with part of the planet below in the lower half of the panel view. It’s followed a short time later…
6.2: …by the ship tumbling down to the ground below in a seemingly “Flaming Crash” position. You can see more of the continental area of O’Julana through the bulk of the background at this moment.
DYIO PETRO (Caption) So, the Vice Chancellor is dead…feels like we should be celebrating right now!
6.3: On the bridge of the Boo-Ya!, Capaldi chuckles and lets slip a sly grin at the statement which is shared by the good cap’n; the two of them share a knowing sense of skepticism at the statement.
CAPALDI Gods, that’d be a slice of sweet choco Gvohn if it were so! But we’ve dealt with ‘em long enough to know they’re quite the pain to properly off.
MADAM (snarky) At least without cleansing fire, or a nearby black hole!
CAPALDI (Bubble 2) Haha…aye!
6.4: Close-up on the Madam a few moments later, shifting toward a more serious expression on her face; the conversation moving alongside it.
MADAM
We can use however long this pause is to swoop down to the compound and assist Robin and Nessa in saving the Qualg, or get in comm range for an update. Cap, get me a read on each of their individual beacons.
CAPALDI (Off-Panel) Aye aye, cap’n…
6.5: A two-part set of panels that cuts back to the AI companion, looking down at their own layout of the ship’s radar as he scrolls through the immediate area on the planet where they landed.
6.6: In the second part, he stops scrolling upon the discovery of the respective signals on the map.
CAPALDI Got ‘em! They’re still alive and kicking.
MADAM (Off-Panel) Good to know. Why do I have a feeling you’re holding a sizable “but” though?
CAPALDI (Bubble 2)
That’d be because I am. Not a big one, but…definitely a sizable one.
