Panel 1: We move back to Celia standing in front of their bed a few moments later. In the first part, you can see the sense of urgency on her face mixed with a little bit of anger.

CELIA

(explanatory, to Seanna)

I did. My reply didn't break through though.

CELIA

(Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 2, Bubble 1)

That's why I'm **** petrified!

We move back to Watkins; the setting and layout similar to the end of the previous page. They are a little more cautious than before; their hand quickly beginning to log off as they speak.

SEANNA

(looking for information, to Celia)

Weird. I made each of our phones in a way that it could compensate for signal dead zones.

SEANNA

(Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 1, Bubble 2)

Who do you think's behind it?

Slight close-up on Celia's face, flashing an annoyed look in regard to the previous question; the setting and layout similar to Panel 3.

CELIA

Someone powerful, given her message. I don't need to tell you who sent this mystery person though.

Moments later, we see the young person closing their laptop shut just after it shut down.

SEANNA

(understanding)

That's the truth! Where's Jes? Figure she must be nearby, planning the next step.

The young Brazilian woman looks off toward the door as she speaks; a look of puzzlement on her face.

CELIA

I texted her first. She said she had some business to take care of.

SEANNA

(Off-Panel)

What kind of business?

Back in London, we see Ms. Borah walking down the street toward a cafe in the middle of the day. You can see Joely at an outdoor table, waving to our young/old heroine.

(Cont., Celia) "Hell if I know. Just said it was 'long overdue,' whatever that means."

Joely

Jes!

Page 247 Panel 1: Action shot of the two friends meeting up a few minutes later, hugging it out at Joely's table with a great deal of friendly love. You can see a little section of traffic passing by them in the background.

JOELY

(Cont., welcoming grin; to Jesminder) Good to see you...time off seems to be treating you well!

JESMINDER

(nods, to Joely) Eh, I've been keeping busy. I read about you guys beating Chamberlain's bill in Parliament- congrats.

JOELY

(Bubble 2) Thanks. Part of that victory's yours; the groundwork you helped to lay...

JESMINDER

(Bubble 2) I appreciate that, mate.

Panel 2: Cut to a close-up of Joely as she sits back down once more; a look of seriousness returning to her face. You can see part of the salad she's eating in the bottom of the panel view.

JOELY

Look. I'd love to give you your job back. But the weirdness with the teleporting woman, and the FBI drama...not a good time. Especially with some of the rumors about you.

Panel 3: Ms. Borah shakes her head, engaging in the same action on the other end. You can see a similar level of seriousness on her face as she speaks.

JESMINDER

(thought bubble) Rumors?

(speaking) I understand. It's actually not the reason I'm here. I wanted to give the group a thank you present while I'm in town, for all you did in giving me my headstart in politics.

Panel 4: We move back to Joely; the setting and layout similar to Panel 2. She flashes a slightly intrigued look on her face at the statement.

JOELY

That's sweet...What type of "thank you" present?

Panel 5: A two-part set of panels that moves back to Jesminder. In the first part, you can see her left elbow on her lap, and her right drifting down toward her purse; a slight glow giving out its location.

JESMINDER

Just a little family heirloom.

Panel 6: In the second part, her right arm comes back into view to reveal a golden lotus flower in the palm of her hand.
