Panel 1: Cut to Winnie pacing in front of the entrance to the cafeteria with a worried look on her face, waiting for the results. You can see a handful of medical staff in the background seated and eating/drinking.
WINNIE
(Cont., thought bubble)=
Nausea and fever can mean other things: Gastrointestinal distress, adenovirus, pneumonia. It doesn't necessarily mean it's the virus.
Panel 2: A two-part set of panels moments later, starting with Ms. Letesha stopping in place; her face scrunching up, split between believing and not believing what is she's telling herself.
WINNIE
(Cont., thought bubble)
Yet my stomach feels like it's been through a wood chipper...
Panel 3: In the second part, a split second later, her phone rings. She's seen picking it up and looking at the text message, which pops up in a separate bubble.
LAB TECH
(via text screen bubble)
Just finished the test. Your fear was on the money.
WINNIE
(gulps)
...Crap!
Panel 4: We move to the next day. Winnie is back at work, glancing at the front entrance as EMTs wheel in more patients from the waiting ambulance as she makes her way to work.
Caption
(Cont., Winnie)
"At least now the government might do something substantial about the virus."
Panel 5: Cut to an aerial shot of the hospital parking lot weeks later. You can see a string of ambulances moving toward the same location.
Caption
(Cont., Winnie)
"Or at least point out what we should try to do."
Caption
(Luan)
"Banning alcohol? Yeah, that's gonna end well!

Panel 1: Cut to the couch of the break room. Winnie is standing to the right of it, moving off-panel and glancing back at her friend who's seated on the couch.
WINNIE
(explanatory, to Luan)
I'd love more economic support, but it's a decent step if you think about it. Drink usually leads to people doing stupid stuff that ends up here. Take that out, and...
LUAN
(agreeing nod, with a rebuttal; to Winnie)
It makes our jobs easier- I know. But...I'm worried about straight men, what they're gonna do.
Panel 2: We move to a slight close-up on Luan's face a beat later, finishing the rest of his point. You can see part of the sink and a wall in the background.
LUAN
(Cont.)
Take away their booze, and they're gonna retreat into their uber masculine rage holes. Especially with the lockdown they called the week before.
Panel 3: Back to Winnie stretching to the side, glancing over at her friend with a disbelieving look on her face.
WINNIE
Don't tell me you're one of those anti-lockdown doos.
Panel 4: A two-part set of panels that moves back to Luan in the same setting/layout as Panel 2. He shifts to a more defensive tone in terms of his response.
LUAN
(scoffs)
Hell nah! I'm just not crazy enough to rule out human stupidity. Especially with what's happening in the States.
Panel 5: In the second part, their conversation is interrupted by a voice that pops in from the right of the panel view.
NURSE
(Off-Panel, to Winnie and Luan)
Guys, look alive...!
Panel 6: At the doorway, we see the Nurse in question with an urgent look on their face; their feet already ready to head off left as they speak.
NURSE
(Cont.)
More cases just hit our floor.
