Panel 1: Seanna shuffles out of bed a few minutes later, walking in the direction of the chest of drawers. You can see the sense of slumber permeating every inch of the young person's eyes.

SEANNA

(thought bubble) Ah, starting with fire brain...great!

Panel 2: A two-part set of panels that shifts to a shot from within the middle drawer. In the first part, we see Watkins reaching over to pick out socks and a fresh pair of underwear.

SEANNA

(thought bubble) I could use a tall cup of cocoa right about now: big glop of whipped cream on top, some cinnamon sprinkled...

Panel 3: In the second part, the sudden appearance of a cup of cocoa in the drawer takes the young person aback in shock.

SEANNA

WHOAA-ly CRAP!

Panel 4: Seanna bends down and slowly reaches for the cup; their shock changed to a look of fascination. You can see a little bit of steam coming out of the lid.

ANNA

(Off-Panel, to Seanna) What was that?

SEANNA

(best answer popping into their head, to Anna) I...think I just found another superpower.

(thought bubble) And my brain's not on fire- interesting correlation.

Panel 5: Action shot of Jes back in Cambridge, pacing in front of a pair of classroom doors. She's wearing a smart white business jacket with black trousers, clutching her laptop to her bosom.

JESMINDER

(Cont. to herself, nervous) Nothing like having the anxieties of some poor girl rattling in my brain just as I'm about to attain my doctorate.

Panel 6: Slight close-up on the magic young/old woman a beat later. She's stopped pacing; an idea popping into her head at that time.

JESMINDER

(curious) Roughly a year in, and I'm still getting familiar with this magic. I wonder if there's a spell I can use to...

Page 109 Panel 1: Same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page. Shifting the laptop she had in her right to her left hand, Jes waves her hand around in an intricate motion; sparks of energy streaming from her palm.

Panel 2: Cut to a shot of the girl seated on a table outside the building Jesminder's in, a few moments later. A message pops up on her phone, eliciting a great deal of excitement and joy on her face, breaking through her earlier anxiety.

GIRL

(with fist pump) She said yes!

Panel 3: Back to Jes in the same setting/layout as Panel 1. She starts to feel the effects of the calming mental energy as she speaks. In the background, you can see the door to the auditorium start to open.

JESMINDER

(relieved sigh) Much better...definitely should use that spell more often.

Panel 4: Slight close-up on the door a few moments later. A professor, MARCIE, pops in from the opened doorway looking over at Ms. Gupta's direction.

MARCIE

(to Jesminder) We're ready for you, Ms. Borah.

Panel 5: Action shot of Jes walking down a long hallway inside the auditorium toward the front area; a bank of empty seats occupying both sides of the panel view.

JESMINDER

(nervous, thought bubble) New life, probably should've figured it'd come with new sensations...new nerves. I'll be fine though.

Panel 6: Close-up on her face a beat later; the answer popping up just as soon as the question appears.

JESMINDER
