The Community, Issue 5: Part 3.3
Page 123
Panel 1: We move back to Ms. Borah a few moments later; the setting and layout similar to Panel 5 of the previous page.
JESMINDER
(trying to be convincing, to Jean) Trust me, I can make this work- when have I steered you wrong since I joined The Green Team?
JESMINDER
(Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 2, Bubble 1) I got that neanderthal prick to yes. How was I supposed to know a natural gas lobbyist would kneecap me an hour later!
Panel 2: Back to Jean holding back a laugh at the question, turning away from the whiteboard which is partially visible in the background of the shot.
JEAN
(correcting, to Jesminder) What about the Brand fiasco?
Panel 3: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. She scoffs mildly after a few moments of pause. You can see through a sense of relenting to the idea, at least somewhat.
JEAN
Alright. We still have a few weeks before the vote, thanks to the holiday. You've got a week to work your Gen Z magic on those dull dishrags.
Panel 4: Later that day, we see a bus pull up to a stop right across from Whitehall. You can see a modest selection of London citizenry moving on the sidewalks in this early afternoon hour.

(Cont., Jean)
"After that, we focus on making damn sure the bill is killed off in the crib."
Panel 5: We move to a shot of the bus door opening, and Jesminder stepping out in a smart navy blue pantsuit with glasses for the glare of the mid-Fall sunshine.
JESMINDER
(smirks reminiscingly, thought bubble) I love the odor replacement spell- the closest I can get to the sweet smells of Delhi.
Panel 6: A few moments later, as she walks along the sidewalk in the direction of a crosswalk nearby, the young/old woman sees a Curry shop sparsely occupied with people at the end of its lunch hour.
JESMINDER
(Cont., thought bubble) That and the Curry shops.

Panel 1: Action shot of Ms. Borah a few minutes stepping inside the House of Parliament at the tail end of a line of other people stepping inside as well. You can also see an old man stepping out the other door at the same time.
Caption
(Cont., Jesminder)
"Though they still do it better at home."
Panel 2: At Jes' turn through the metal detector, she notices the security guard on the chair- a fellow Indian emigre; an idea popping into her head.
Panel 3: Slight close-up on the young/old woman's face a beat later with a courteous look on her face.
JESMINDER
(translated from Hindi, taking off her purse; to the Security Guard) Good morning! How's your day going?
Panel 4: Cut to the security guard, pleasantly surprised by the display from the young woman as she does her business.
SECURITY GUARD
(to Jesminder, translated from Hindi) It's been good. Where did you learn Hindi?
SECURITY GUARD
(Bubble 2, translated from Hindi; reacting to Panel 5, Bubble 1) She must have been a good woman.
Panel 5: Back to Jesminder after clearing out all the metal objects from her purse onto a separate bucket. You can see the same courteous look on her face as in Panel 3.
JESMINDER
(translated from Hindi) From my mother, God rest her soul. She came here from Sikka state...wanted to make sure I always had a little piece of home.
JESMINDER
(Bubble 2, translated from Hindi; reacting to Panel 4, Bubble 2) Indeed she was...
