The Community, Issue 6: Part 1.1
Page 132
Panel 1: We open on a shot of Seanna standing in the middle of a field somewhere on a gray afternoon. They're trying to fly to no avail; their body in a highly tense Superman-like pose.
Caption
(Lynn)
"Alright, it's been three weeks. What have we learned about your powers?
Caption
(Seanna)
"There's the supercharged healing factor, which apparently includes my metabolism that leaves me low-level hungry all the time--"
Caption
(Lynn)
"Sounds like me passing by a Cheesecake Factory before a competition"
Caption
(Seanna)
"Haha...!"
Panel 2: In the same area, we see Watkins floating a few feet off of the ground; his face, and body in general, far less tense than in the previous panel.
Caption
(Cont., Seanna)
"I can float in the air along the currents, but can't fly all that well as that thing in Folsom taught us."
Caption
(Lynn)
"How was I supposed to know there'd be a freaking airplane crossing right at the moment we experimented?!"
Panel 3: At a different day and time, you can see a perfect circle of sunshine surround the young person amidst the continued gray. You can see Seanna react with pleasant surprise at all this.
Caption
(Seanna)
"I can also control the weather, at least within a couple of miles around me."
Caption
(Lynn)
"Not great for concealing one's identity. But still, pretty useful in the Winter- or July, for that matter."
Caption
(Seanna)
"True, true..."
Panel 4: In a more secluded area of town, Seanna is seen in a cross-legged sitting position looking squarely at an empty portion of concrete floor.
Caption
(Cont., Seanna)
"I definitely can't run super fast nor am I super strong, which sucks. Can't conjure money at will either, which also sucks. But with the floating and the ability to create any vehicle, it balances things out."
Caption
(Lynn)
"Thank you for the supercharged mega Mini, by the way."
Caption
(Seanna)
"Of course, budette. Speaking of which- did we ever establish what precisely I could summon?"
Caption
(Lynn)
"Oh yeah, I have it saved on my phone..."
Panel 5: A three-part set of panels showing the things they were able to conjure during the setup of the previous panel. In the first, it's a steamy meatball sub and a large soda.
Caption
(Cont., Lynn)
"Food and drink."
Panel 6: In the second part, next to the food, we see a laptop materialize- a Macbook to be precise- as well as a Mandalorian helmet.
Caption
(Cont., Lynn)
"Tech, both real and fictional..."
Panel 7: In the third and final part, we see a light jacket appear; part of the hood touching the side of the computer and part of the helmet.
Caption
(Cont., Lynn)
"And clothes. Also weapons, both fictional and real."
Panel 8: At the end of this montage, we see Lynn and Seanna are sitting on Lynn's couch watching TV after one of their "power fact finding" missions.
SEANNA
(unsure)
Certainly fictional, but I don't think we ever really established the real part.
LYNN
Fair point. We'll leave that as a maybe. Now, there's one thing we talked about earlier...
Page 133
Panel 1: Seanna lets out a dismissive chuckle, shaking their head immediately, recognizing just what their friend's talking about.
SEANNA
(immediately dismissive, to Lynn) It was a no then, and it's sure as hell is a no now!
SEANNA
(Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 2, Bubble 1) We can do that without having me get my ass kicked for a sustained period of time. I know the thing at the cafe looked smooth...
Panel 2: Cut to Lynn on the other side of the couch, trying to make her point as calmly as possible. You can see a little section of wall as well as a framed photo in the background.
LYNN
(negotiative, to Seanna) Doesn't it make sense to figure out how much punishment you can take, in case you're in a fight?
Panel 3: Flash back to the cafe three weeks ago when the two of them had lunch. As Seanna is chatting comfortably with their friend, you can see their left hand is clutched in a pained ball.
Caption
(Cont., Seanna)
"But you didn't see me after I pulled the knife out; the stiffness or jagged pain which lingered on for a good four hours."
Panel 4: Back to Watkins once more in the same setting/layout as Panel 1. They shift their body language to a more sympathy inducing setup as the young person finishes the rest of their point.
SEANNA
(Cont.) Much as the info could be valuable, I'd rather learn that on the fly.
Panel 5: We move back to Lynn in a two-part set of panels; the setting and layout similar to Panel 2. In the first one, she looks away and nods in agreement to her friend's wishes.
LYNN
(empathetic) Fair enough, bud. I didn't know about the lingering pain...definitely useful information in terms of speed of---
Panel 6: In the second part, a split second later, an idea pops into her head; her hand moving to the couch cushion as if to lift herself off of it.
LYNN
(Cont.) I've got an idea. You remember Cap and Peggy's chat in First Avenger?
