The Community, Issue 6: Part 3.1
Page 144 Panel 1: We see the two of them hugging it out at the doorway to her office, taking Seanna aback slightly. You can see a little section of the store immediately adjacent to her office in the background of said doorway.
CAROL
(Cont. friendly, to Seanna) Good to see you, outside of a TV screen. How are things?
SEANNA
(slight smile, to Carol)
They're good. The TV thing was definitely weird, and thankfully quite over. Oh, and big quasi-recent news: I'm gonna be back at Sac State come Spring!
CAROL
(Bubble 2) Congrats...that's fantastic!
SEANNA
(Bubble 2) Thanks. Sorry I didn't invite you to the party I had after breaking my coma.
CAROL
(Bubble 3) No worries. I figured it was a family only thing.
Panel 2: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. The two of them break the hug a beat later; Carol shifting the conversation slightly off the last point, walking back to her office.
CAROL
(Cont.) How is your Mom by the way?
SEANNA
She's good, got a promotion while I was in the coma. She's now the office manager for the Parks & Rec. Department- completely remote!
CAROL
(Bubble 2) Nice! I was offered to go Remote little over a year ago. Tempting as it was, I loved the smell and feel of the store too much to leave.
SEANNA
(Bubble 2) Speaking of "regular work"...
Panel 3: Cut to a close-up on Watkins a beat later, flashing a touch of nerves that suddenly hit them as the topic that brought the young person there crops up.
SEANNA
I know this is a roll of the die. But given how expensive textbooks somehow still are, I...well, I figured...
Panel 4: We move to a shot of Carol stopping a few steps away from her desk at the question; her former employee visible in the foreground of the shot from the back.
SEANNA
(Cont.) If there's an opening as a Cashier, I'd be happy to apply for it. I don't expect to get hired, of course, but...
CAROL
(sighs) I'd love to hire you back, Sean. I really would...
Panel 5: Cut to a shot from the ceiling looking down of the main storefront. You can see the cashier stands are mostly touchpad stations as well as the buzz of eShopping bots walking up and down the aisles.

(Cont., Carol)
"But as you probably noticed, there's not a whole lot of non-automated jobs you could apply. Unless you wanna become a Stocker, and I remember how much you despised it when you started here."
Panel 6: Seanna nods their head at the tail end of her response, flashing a touch of a smile as they speak.
SEANNA
True. I remember the thoroughly ungoldy hour in the morning my shift would start. And with me taking on a full class load...
CAROL
(Off-Panel, chuckles) I get it. Completely.
Page 145
Panel 1: Action shot of Carol turning back and heading around the side of the desk to her chair; her gaze tilted out in her former employee's direction.
CAROL
(Cont., to Seanna) Whenever you do find a place and need a letter of recommendation, just send the word.
Panel 2: Same setting/layout as the last panel of the previous page, along with the same action face wise. In terms of the body, you can see Watkins beginning to step out as they speak.
SEANNA
(to Carol) I'll keep it in mind. I should still have your number saved on my phone.
CAROL
(Off-Panel) Good, good...
Panel 3: Action shot of Seanna stepping out of the store a short time later back to the bus stop. You can see part of the Kroger logo on the storefront in the background, along with a few other people stepping inside.
Caption
(Cont., Carol)
"Best of luck in your job search."
Panel 4: A two-part set of panels that follows them on the same path as the previous panel. You can hear the sound of a phone ringing from within their bag, distracting the young person from the roll of wheels on pavement which...
Panel 5: In the second part, slam into Seanna with a force of a line of shopping carts. Amidst the chaos, you can see their right foot snapping amidst the tangle of wheels and metal.
Panel 6: A small crowd gathers around the young person as they slowly press themselves back upward, using one of the carts as a crutch. You can see the eShopper bot rolling around the crowd to Watkins.
