The Community, Issue 9: Part 1.3
Page 211 Panel 1: Jes squints with a touch of curiosity to the statement, stopping a few feet in front of her friend.
JESMINDER
(to Winnie) I thought you were a nurse. How do you know chemistry?
Panel 2: We move back to Winnie, turning back to the laptop to continue typing. You can see a calmly playful grin on her face as she speaks.
WINNIE
(explanatory, to Jesminder) Speed reading some chemistry books before I joined up with you guys, and taking advantage of some white shirts at WalshTech who put the necessary pieces together.
WINNIE
(Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 3, Bubble 1) Sure. I'll conjure up a glass for ya.
Panel 3: Ms. Borah tilts her head to the side in a bit of a side nod at the statement.
JESMINDER
Good on ya. What's that you're drinking? I'd love to try some...
Panel 4: Same setting as the previous panel. The layout widens a few moments later when we see a bottle of regular Twizza materialize in her hand.
JESMINDER
(to the room; grateful) Cheers, magical giving room!
Panel 5: A two-part set of panels that moves back to Winnie; the setting and layout similar to Panel 2. She chuckles lightly with an agreeing look on her face.
WINNIE
I'll tell them the same thing every time I go to bed.
Panel 6: In the second part, moments later, the young woman stops typing upon the completion of the task; a supremely pleased look on her face. As she speaks, you can hear the unlocking melody off-panel.
WINNIE
(under breath) ...We're in!
CELIA
(Off-Panel) Bolas sagradas! I thought it was supposed to be cold here in January.
Page 212
Panel 1: Cut to a shot of Celia a moment later, taking a few steps already inside the room with groceries in hand; the doorway already closing behind her in the background, which also shows a slight fraction of her purple "BAMF" smoke.
CELIA
(Cont.)
No complaints though. Almost feels home, right down to the weirdo in the market rambling about the "Deep State."
Panel 2: A three-part set of panels that shifts to Ms. Borah, who chuckles lightly at the comment. As she speaks, you can see her lifting the bottle up to her lips.
JESMINDER
(to Celia) This is nothing compared to India. 90 degrees in early January, humid as hell...
(thought bubble) ...miss it every day!
Panel 3: In the second part, she takes a swig of the bottle; a slight grin on her face at that moment.
Panel 4: A few beats later, in the third part, the young/old woman breathes hard as if bit by a sharp tinge of flavor that hits her tongue.
JESMINDER
(Cont., surprised) Damn, that has a kick! A good one...was not expecting it.
Panel 5: Winnie glances up from her perch in Jes' direction as well as to Celia; her hand underneath the laptop a split second before lifting it off the ground.
WINNIE
(with urgency, to Jesminder and Celia) Didn't you guys hear me? I said I found a way inside the Sentry!
