The Community, Issue 9: Part 4.1
Page 225 Panel 1: In the blink of an eye, we see Amelia and Celia appear via "BAMF!" outside the entrance to a convention center in Las Vegas.
Caption
(Cont., Amelia)
"Will be my first time in Vegas though. So, that should be fun."
Panel 2: Slight close-up on the two of them, exchanging a simple fist bump a few moments later.
CELIA
(to Amelia, translated from Portuguese) You got this, Lia...
AMELIA
(confident nod, to Celia; translated from Portuguese) I know, Cee. And if I don't...
CELIA
(Bubble 2, synced with Amelia) Shit, you already know. Triple Bs forever!
Panel 3: Action shot showing the young woman making her way to the front entrance a short time later. You can see lingering remnants from Celia's purple cloud as she "BAMF"s out.
Panel 4: We jump to her in line a short time later, in between a couple of other older men wearing the dress blues of their respective police departments.
AMELIA
(extremely tense, thought bubble) Craaapp...horrible time for my brain to be on fire! Remember what my shrink said- find my happy place...
Panel 5: A two-part set of panels that shifts to the same setting/layout as the previous panel. In the first part, she moves a small distance forward in the line.
AMELIA
(Cont., thought bubble) Blu del Barrio...the top of Pedra da Mina, in the winter...nice picnic...
Panel 6: In the second part, we see her with the flask downing a good chug from inside; the movement from the previous panel stopping just as soon as it began.
AMELIA
(Cont., thought bubble) This pumped directly into my veins!
Page 226
Panel 1: At a check-in table in the lobby of the convention center, a couple of volunteers are seated welcoming Amelia as she approaches.
Panel 2: Slight close-up on one of the volunteers, VIOLET, glancing up to see the woman a beat later. You can see a large binder on the table in the lower section of the panel view.
VIOLET
(courteous, to Amelia) Hello! Name, rank and police department, please.
Panel 3: Amelia looks on, trying to keep what she believes is a business demeanor at that moment. You can see her hand gripping the bottom of her coat in a way to vent some nerves.
AMELIA
(to Violet, piecing the story on the fly) C--Cora. And I'm not actually with a...a specific police department. I'm--I'm one of the arms people speaking tonight.
Panel 4: A two-part set of panels that moves back to volunteer Violet. In the first part, she looks over at the folder flipping through the respective pages.
Panel 5: Moments later, in the second part, the woman comes across the particular page. The narrow, focused glare she had in the previous panel has now lightened up to normal upon the discovery.
VIOLET
Ah, I see it now: Fisk-Tarleton! A couple of your co-workers popped by this morning to set the tent up.
Panel 6: A few seconds later, she extends a badge and a nametag to Amelia/Cora as she finishes the rest of her thought.
VIOLET
(Cont.) Here's your badge and name tag. They'll fill you in with any details from there.
