The Strongest Force Alive, Part 3.2
Page 19 Panel 1: We keep on Reina later that day, enthusiastically laying out her idea to the others. To the right of the panel view, you can see (though Fran and Orkun don't) a shot of Mr. Plachta in very fancy attire at a Nazi Party function years earlier alongside high mucky mucks in their military.
REINA
(Cont. to Fran and Orkun, translated from German) Supposedly, there's a rumor he's building ships underneath the dealership for the SS stationed in Ghettos. We hit that- it won't be a death blow, but...it'll make a hell of a rallying cry for comrades all across the continent.
Panel 2: Cut to a shot of Mr. Herne back at the apartment with a degree of unease connected to a separate element of the greater plan hinted from the end of the previous page.
ORKUN
(slight nod, to Reina; translated from German)
I get the logic behind it. What if he's got a personal security setup at this place?
Panel 3: Fran tilts her head from her work, lowering the phone to the receiver as she speaks with her own level of surprise.
FRAN
(to Orkun, translated from German) We've already achieved a good amount of goodwill in the city, which I think we can use to build forces up. As for weaponry...there's always Hi-Hi.
Panel 4: Action shot of Reina in mid-stride heading in the direction of the kitchen area, glancing at the pair of them as she speaks.
REINA
(intrigued, to Fran) Lovely idea, hon.
FRAN
(Off-Panel, to Reina) Thank you, hon.
REINA
(Bubble 2, directed to Orkun) You think there's some type of magic or piece of weaponry he could give for the task?
Panel 5: Mr. Herne pondering the answer out in real time. You can see the hand where the papers are shift into a fist, taking in part of the papers at the same time.
ORKUN
Not sure. Weapons aren't exactly a natural part of his repertoire. Though there are some spells and potions that might do well for covert...
Panel 6: Same setting/layout as the previous panel. After a few moments of silence that disrupts the train of thought, we see an epiphany come across the young man's eyes.
ORKUN
(Cont., epiphanic grin) OOOOHHHHH....that could work. Meet me in 5 minutes, I'll explain what and how.
Page 20
Panel 1: Reina watches as Orkun bolts out of the apartment, fueled with the same excited energy we saw at the end of the previous page.
REINA
(to Fran, slight chuckle; translated from German) A long way from Saturday nights at the Baldur Lichtspiele!
REINA
(Bubble 2; reacting to Panel 2, Bubble 1) Yeah...think we'll keep him.
Panel 2: We move to a shot of Fran, chuckling and flashing an uneasy grin as she speaks; her body already shifting back to the work.
FRAN
(to Reina, translated from German) Yeah...wouldn't trade a single second of it for the world. Orkun was a pleasant surprise though.
Panel 3: Minutes later, on the rooftop of their building, Fran and Reina walk over to Orkun's airship via the fire escape to see the weapon in question.
Caption
(Cont., Reina)
"Hopefully for something longer than the next few days."
Panel 4: Cut to Orkun popping out in the opened doorway holding the top of a red and silver trident in his right hand.
FRAN
(Off-Panel, to Orkun) A trident? This is how we'll strike at Cruyssen?
ORKUN
(explanatory) It's not a trident, though it most certainly looks like one. The proper name for it is a Dyrvish.
Panel 5: An example shot of the weapon in question, breaking through a warding somewhere and smashing it into a million fiery pieces.
Caption
(Cont., Orkun)
"It's able to break through warding or any type of magic shiny- at least, according to Hi-Hi- that the yard may be protected by.
Caption
(Cont., Orkun)
"We huck this in the middle of Mr. Cruyssen's dealership, it'll obliterate a sizable chunk of it with ease. From there..."
Panel 6: Back in the present, Fran reacts to the explanation with understanding and one big question that arises.
FRAN
From there...what?
